Did anybody here go to Progressive Nation 09? I went to the Columbia, MD show on August 1st featuring for 1 night only: QUEENSRYCHE. Best show ever. The main band I went to see was Dream Theater, but of course, they were the last on the set list. But at my time there I got introduced to some other bands like Bigelf and Zappa Plays Zappa. The Dream Theater Setlist was:
1. A Nightmare to Remember
2. Prophets of War
3. Sacrificed sons
4. Rite of Passage
5. Solitary Shell(With improv solos from both Ruddess and Petrucci)
6. The Dance of Eternity
7. One last Time
8. In the Name of God
and as an Encore:
9. The Count of Tuscany.

EDIT: Woops. forgot all about Rite of Passage

I went in mid-August in Toronto. Scale the Summit, Big Elf, and ZpZ were sick.
DTs setlist in Toronto was:
A Nightmare to Remember
A Rite of Passage
Hollow Years
Keyboard solo
Erotomania
Voices
Forsaken
Take The Time

Encore:
The Camera Eye by Rush
The Count of Tuscanny

The Camera and Take the time made the show for me.

I went to the European show. A great night, but to be honest the only band I wasn't impressed with were Dt themselves. UnexpecT, Bigelf and especially Opeth were absolutely fantastic. DT's newer stuff sounded very formulaic and soulless after that.

I went to the orlando show, sad to say Zappa killed the **** out of their set, where as the headliner dream theater didn't as much, although it was good, Zappa(a band I have never heard before) totally took the cake and should of headlined instead of DT. I also got to meet Jordan before the show while I was sitting outside for 12 hours waiting to get in hehe.
Might I add, the show got me big time into Scale the Summit, wonderful stuff!

Great. I type out a several paragraphs about the prog nation concert I attended in London and my computer crashes on me, I may type it up later.

I wanted to see Opeth :( Living in Canada seems bad now :P. Oh well nothing I can do about that. It was still a good show, unfortunately Scale the Summit had pretty bad sound quality, their drums and bass were way too loud.

Me and Lithuanian Boy were at the Toronto show with my brother and two other friends. It was unforgettable. I could have used with a little more DT, but all the bands were fantastic. I got to talk to Bigelf's singer for a bit, and I got the guys from Scale the Summit to sign their album. Also, DT's encore was the greatest. Rush and The Count of Tuscany, back to back. Awesome.
