Wouldn't it be cool if you could play along with a song and not have to use the note charts!! I would love to see how I would sound, playing the drums to the song without having to follow their note patters. It would be just a fun, no fail way to play along with the songs!! It would be fun too for kids to just hit the drums or guitar buttons and have a good time.

Maybe they can patch it in so you an freestyle play to the songs??

What would be even more fun is to just give a blank chart with no music or anything and just let you play what you want on it and then listen to it.

How 'bout we combine those ideas... give you the ability to use MP3's off the hard drive and a blank chart to create your own note layouts for the song. That'd be pretty neat for people interested in lesser known bands that would likely never see the light of day in Rock Band. Obviously it would take some bit of talent to create the note layouts, but it'd be nice to see what people could do with it.

The other "obviously" there is that this will likely never happen due to copyright issues... even though you likely own the song anyway.

Also, I've played a decent number of Frets on Fire songs, and people make some bad, bad note charts. If it were done well (and you could get around the copyright) well then great, but you'd have to find diamonds in the rough :)

I think these ideas really miss the whole reason you people love to play Rock Band/Guitar Hero.
I'm fairly certain that if these ideas were implemented, they wouldn't be as fun as you think they would be.

Thats all Im saying. Ive had several discussions about this before and can't be bothered to repeat my argument.
