Ok first post, maybe someone can help me out here. I went to buy the Abbey Road dlc for ps3. I have neveer purchased anything from the ps store before so naturally I had to enter all my card info etc. I select credit card to pay enter my number and whatever else it asks for but it keeps saying my card info is not valid!!! Why and how can this be? There is money in my account, card dosen't expire for 2 years, I entered everything correct as it appears, still nothing!
The only possible explanation I can come up with is that it's a debit card, but that really has never made a difference before so why should it now?
Really frustrated....

A debit card should work, did you input the address in correctly?

Yeah, the address, the card number, everything.
It's like they are refusing my money!!

could be because the ps store does not include the abbey road dlc, yet. ps store updates happen thursdays. the 360 crowd gets theirs on tuesdays. or is it your actual card and not the redemption code that isn't working?

Try entering your billing information here...

You might have better luck entering your card information, once thats done, then try buying the content from the RB store.

Another solution is to buy a PSN card at a local retailer like Wal-Mart. Unlike xbox points cards, the PSN cards are tax free. (another +)

Dude, what the hell? That must be extremely frustrating for you, it's even frustrating me!
You could try calling up Sony, if you have the time. I believe its

I have never had a problem with the PSN store. I use my PC to set up my account, and to transfer money into, and then use the PS3 to make the actual store purchases.
Is the rejection immediate?
I do know from other sites that if you have to enter the card info as it is on the card-in other words, if the site asks you for first and last name, but there is an initial on the card, then it can fail.
Are you also entering the 3 digit security code on the back of the card?
Another thing to be aware of is if your transaction attempts have actually gone through and been rejected for some valid reason, you may get a call from your card company, just checking that those were valid purchase attempts, and not someone else using your card.

When you initially set up your account, did you make it a "Master Account", or a "Sub Account"?

My account is a master account, when I enter my info I tried it all ways with my middle initial, without, all caps , every which way.. still rejected .I tried on my pc and ps3...still nothing..
All else fails I will probably try to buy that psn card that someone mentioned... that might actually be better since it's seperate from my bank account etc ..
My only fear with that is that I would buy it then try to enter the info on that card and for some reason get rejected with that too...stranger things have happened! Then I would be out 20 bucks with a useless card and no way of getting rid of it or getting my money back!

Aha! The PlayStation Store only recives credit cards, sorry, that must be why it doesn't recieves it. Try buying a PSN Card, it should work.

The problem is Sony uses a verification program that doesn't play nice with the security filters used by some banks. There's nothing that customer service can do about it. I ran into this same exact problem. Just buy the psn cards (I get mine at Best Buy now). They will work.

No problems buying it now on PSN Store. In-Game store is screwed as with on-line play though.

I just bought Abbey Road on PS3 through the PSN Store last night and had no problem until I started downloading it. I have a 12mb+ connection but it took a good 30 minutes to DL it.
Took forever, but I finally got it.
I also used a debit card...so it's not credit cards only.

I do believe it's time you buy an Xbox 360.
