I went to my EB to ask about the situation with how many pre orders would be fufilled on Dec 28th, and an employee said he wasn't sure, Im 25th on the list, so he said im "on the fence" for if I would get one, but Im hoping for the wost. I was wondering if its a better bet for me to cancel my preorder and go store hunting on dec 28th morning, or should I just wait it out?

No reason not to hold on to your pre order... unless you paid in full and need the money. I'd hunt for the game and if you find it cancel your pre order after that. if you don't find it then at least you still have the pre order.

I have a pre-order in with GameStop.com and just drove 2.5 hours round trip to get one at a neighboring city's Walmart. Tomorrow I will cancel the Gamestop order. So I suggest you keep your pre-order in tact if you don't have any money riding on it, if you find one, cancel it, if you don't, then at least you have it as a backup.

By the way, I have been checking local stores since the 11th and found out most stores here got them in today. Everyone within 25-30 miles from me was out but I kept calling around to different Walmarts and found one store that had "several of them"... drove the 40 minutes expecting for it to be the wrong version or something, and low and behold they had them! I am elated!

So check around at your local Walmarts. Best Buy told me they won't get theirs till the 28th and I have read that on other boards as well. But all the walmarts around me got them in today, just most had sold out already.

Same here. I placed an order for the ps2 bundle with gamestop on tuesday in when they said they had it in stock for those few hours. Today i called stores all morning to find one and got nothing but negative answers. So i stopped at my local walmart on my way home from college and lo and behold, i picked the last one up off of the shelf. The lady in line in front of me also had one and said her amazon preorder was cancelled, just like mine. Its definitely worth looking around for them now. If you find one, cancel the preorder.
