Lost gold icon

Last night I just got my gold icon. Took me forever too. Recieved the "congratulations" screen and everything. Today I turned on my xbox, and I have a silver icon. I still have 30 achievements for the game. What the hell? Anyone know what's going on?

And my gut feeling is that even though I get more achievements I wouldn't get the gold back. I bet it only checks once you get the 30th achievement mark. Should I post this in the support forums?

I had the game "forget" that I had done the lefty flip achievement (and thankfully that was the only one it forgot), so I had to redo it. Shouldn't affect your ability to re-earn the icon. Check in-game how many achievements you have then pick up how many more you need to get your icon back.

Always check to make sure the game saves after unlocking an achievement. If a brief "saving" message doesn't show up, make a change to an option (turn Lefty Flip on, then back off, for example).

Okay. I redid the last achievement that I did yesterday, which was 100% the solo on Can't Buy Me Love. I got the gold icon back! I didn't reachieve the achievement, but the congratulation screen came back. Woot!

I once got 100% on the drum solo for The End and turned off my PS3 after I got the trophy alert. I check the in-game list and saw that the trophy wasn't updated through all of my attempts in trying, so I realized that I forgot to save after earning the trophy. I assume the same thing happened to you on your achievements.

You can actually choose which icon to display in the options somewhere, I've seen it recently so you can choose between your Gold or Silver Icon :) Hope this helps in a way lol
