Drums - Most of Pad is Dead

I have recently got the Beatles Limited Edition.

The drums only register a hit if I get the small black circle on the pad. The vast majority of the pad, the white bits, are totally dead.

Surely this is not correct?

PS - The Hofner doesn't work either :( If I press green, red is activated too !!!

The drums do trigger better in the center than around the edges. Thats where the sensor is.

Are you striking the drums or tap tap tapping looking for a dead spot? If you are doing the later, just play them and see how they work.

The Hofner issue sounds like a defect.
