I broke my pedal and I made a fix for it. It worked so well I thought I would sell it on ebay. I've already sold like 20!

nice job. i think it's great so much people are modding and offering to provide it to others at an affordable price, but i dont like how the rockband forums are turning into a marketplace.
pedals that look the same, pedals that are wooden, gum pads, felt pads, foam pads sold by an idiot who pretended to be a satisfied customer, etc. maybe it's time to create a subforum to sell stuff.

also to the OP, i noticed your auction said excludes shipping to alaska and hawaii, but you ship with a USPS flat rate envelope. you do realize that the flat rate envelope is the same price for all 50 states? no reason to exclude alaska and hawaii unless you have something against your fellow americans in those two states :)

I didn't know that. I just revised the auction. Sorry if I am junking up the forum, I was just trying to get customers and I was thinking this would be the best place to advertise!

it's nothing personal against you. im just thinking aloud. i welcome competition since it helps bring prices down, i just think the line needs to be drawn somewhere before everyone and their mother starts selling their own little mod, and always "bumps" their thread to the first page. i'd really hate to see that.
people shouldnt need to bump their product. if it's worthwhile and well received it will sell itself based on satisfied customers. so if someone posts "hey im worried my bass pedal is going to crack like everyone elses" or "what do i do, my pedal cracked?" people will respond saying there's people on ebay selling these plates that fix or prevent them from snapping...

also it might help to contribute more as a member rather than signing up and having your very first post advertising. i totally understand you need to find an outlet to get the word out. just dont be one of those people plastering a link to your auction or website all over the place.

Ok, I am not trying to clog up the forums or anything. And I never bumped my thread or anything......

Also it says in the desription that you have to send your original pedal back, which is not true...

I just took a real drum pedal. attached the magnet portion to the bottom. drill a hole through it.

attached it to the rock band bottom and just played. it was easy. and it works perfectly.

ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrr you can do my crappy looking Lego-mod. Doesn't aesthetically look nice but I've been playing on it for a week now and it feels more sturdy than it ever was brand new!

Just as an FYI, if you've "already sold 20" like you mentioned above, you probably don't need to post here to get customers, unless you're looking to start a full-on business... In which case, yeah, AVC summed it up pretty well. :)

Well there is no reason for me not to post about it on this forum. Of course I am trying to get as many customers as I can. Why wouldn't I? For anyone who is interested here is the new link to the auction.

I bought the one from rasehead, which is the same as this guys (but has a better rating). http://cgi.ebay.com/Rock-Band-Bass-Pedal-Reinforcing-Plate-Pedal-Metal_W0QQitemZ280187842281QQihZ018QQcategoryZ1225 17QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem It works awesome, can't say the same for dayer. I didn't use the screws tho because I didn't want to void my warranty.....What I did was went to office max and bought some velcro, worked like a charm. I love it and I don't think my pedal is going to break at all or in months and months :)

Wow, Velcro eh? That's a great idea! I didn't want to void my warranty either, even though I got the extended warranty from Walmart and I doubt they'll open the box to check, but would rather just keep things "original" if possible, but try to be pro-active so they don't break.

I think we should get a rebate back on our bundles if we do these things to protect them ourselves, HMX is saving money on those of us who spend money to NOT break our peripherals.

Well I can't compete with rasehead's positive feedback because I just got started selling mine, but I am starting to get positive feedback. I do offer tape for people who don't want to void their warranty.
How is the Velcro working? I was thinking about using that but I decided to just offer industrial strength double sided tape.

Well the tape works fine, I was just wondering just in case I need to switch. The tape I use wont come off unless you really try and get it off. Its permanent. Thanks for the info. I will get some velcro and try it out myself

LOL... I am not far from you. I am in Greeneville, just about 45 minutes / 1 hour northeast. We just moved here from CA, had been trying for 2.5 years and finally got here at the end of May.

There's another member here from Greeneville. It's a small small world.

I dont see why it wouldnt. You would still have to attach the new one to the broken one.
