Harmonix and Rock Band Crew!

I just want to say, I know you guys have tried very hard to do right by all of us cosumers, who purchased Rock Band on the PS3. I just want to say Thank You for giving us a great game, with a fantastic soundtrack and the best Download Content on any music based game thus far. Today I spoke with an Activision field representative, and she went into what she knew of the situation. After what I have heard, I also want you guys to know that I stand by Harmonix 100%. I would rather wait till Jan/Feb/March and get the offical Rock Band Guitar controller than give Activision the satisfaction of knowing that I had to resort to using that POS Les Paul on a game as satisfying as Rock Band has been. I will never purchase another Activision/Blizzard game after this mess ever again. To me they simply no longer exist, the only real loss is Call of Duty, but Ubi-soft can take care of that with Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six. Keep up the great work guys.

To all the fans, I understand alot of people have had guitar and drums issues. We all know that the first generation on anything can be buggy, no matter how much testing it goes through. They are replacing out equipment, and thats much more than some other company's would do. It is only a matter of time before Rock Band becomes the same staple Guitar Hero became, and that is most likely the true fear that Activision/Blizzard holds.

Once again HMXSean and the rest of you guys, thank you for all the work you have put in to the game, and attempting to make things right by us. Please don't even think about paying Activision anything for the rights for you to patch a game YOU MADE.

I agree!! I think since Harmonix made the Guitar Hero series to begin with, that should have been enough to make the fender work with GHIII and also gave the patch to you good PS3 people! It is called paying your dues!!

I have barely played GHIII since Rock Band. I did play tonight and will play it because there are some songs I like. But I am with you as I have no intention of buying GH4 if there is one. Rock Band is far superior to GHIII and it cannot match the DLC we have seen. Yes I have been frustrated about my kit not working, and I have to RMA another one. But like you said it is first gen and sooner or later it will all be good.

Blizzard is affiliated with Activision/GHII? I had no idea. Furthermore, I can't say that I'm going to boycott either of the companies because they make very good games that i enjoy, especially Blizzard, who imo make the best PC games out there. I can say that I'm never going to buy GH again though. It does seem like they are screwing RB around. But it may all be perspective. I bet all the GH fans think that HMX is screwing with GH... who knows.

I agree 100%. My guitar took 2 days to get replaced, which is the fastest I've ever had anything replaced. The DLC is ridiculous. I'm used to buying games that promise tons of DLC, but then come out with only one thing after 8 months. So I'm still in shock that Rock Band has lived up to that promise so far. I don't remember ever seeing a game or website where the Mods actually replied back. If all gaming companies followed through as well as Harmonix has I'd have a much harder time figuring out where to spend my money. thanx Harmonix :cool:

Thanks for the post Indie. I agree with you 100%. I've gotten kind of tired of Blizzard games anyway. Activision boycotted!

yea, no more activision games in this camp either (which pains me because call of duty 4 is so amazing, looks like ill buy a used one someday so they get none of the money from it :D)
