Cheap Trick is a criminally underrated band. It's sad to know they had terrible success after their 5th Album (They had a terrible run in the 80s and 90s, with 1988 being their brief comeback period). But that doesn't mean they had terrible songs. Surrender was one of their more popular songs, and Guitar Hero 2 made it even more well known. Cheap Trick is known as power pop, but their live perfomances transform their "pop" songs into amazing heavy arena-rockin' gems.

Some great songs from them:

From their debut 1977 Album:
1)He's A Whore
2)Oh Candy
3)Daddy Should Have Stayed in High School-Mostly guitar, starts off with bass. Sort of a challenge for the vocalist, since it has high notes
4)Hot LoveA challenge for the guitarist.

In Color:
1)Hello There
2)Big Eyes

Heaven Tonight:
1)Auf Wiedersehen
2)California Man-It has a Brontosaurus-ish guitar riff, and then it starts going crazy with the vocals.

At Budokan:
1)Ain't That Shame-This is very good for the whole entire band. This could go well in the higher, difficult modes.
2)I Want You To Want Me-Ah, of course, this one is well known for its catchy vocals and its equally catchy guitar solos.

Dream Police
1)Dream Police
2)I Know What I Want-This one is mostly bass, but there's a guitar solo thrown in there too.
3)Need Your Love-This one involves a lot of bass

One on One
1)She's Tight-This one has pretty easy guitar riffs, so its perfect for Easy difficulties

Woke Up With a Monster
1)Woke Up With A Monster

Also, if possible, something from their 2006 album, Rockford, should get a chance. After all Cheap Trick is still touring to promote their newest album.

ELO Kiddies!

Hell, anything from the first 3 albums (or the latest one), is good enough for me.

That 70's Song would be perfect for the game. Haha it'd be so awesome to sing the lyrics.

That's a Big Star song, actually. It's from their first album '#1 Record' and they're about as underrated as Cheap Trick, if not more.

If they could get Big Star in this game I'd buy 7 copies.

I agree with ya.... about Cheap Trick's first album.... it's a Hard Rock Masterpiece ! All of it should be included!!!!

But realistically, big corporations like to depend on big hits..... familiarasity....

Think karoke bar songs from the various genres......
