I'm a big fan of the Empire at War strategy games and love playing them. I especially love accessibility to Pirate craft in the game (especially when you get to beat the Empire out with a fleet of Venators:D)
Anyone else out there a fan of the game and it's expansion (Forces of Corruption)?
I have to admit though, I have yet to play FOC because I haven't bought the expansion yet, though I heard good things of it.

I have it, I never could get really into it though, I only played a few random skirmishes... that might be KOTOR's fault though. *adds another game to my "to play" list*

Yeah, that is true that KOTOR kinda takes you away from this aspect of Star Wars gaming.
Still, it is fun to play the game (and a pain in the ass if the Empire has AT-ATs on their planet, and even if you through dozens of land units at 'em, they'll still kick your ass. (Seriously, those things are like Star Destroyers for the ground, they even give you more troops)

I own the game, but I haven't played it.
I wanted to get KOTOR for the PC, so I ordered the "Star Wars collection", and this game was on it. I haven't tried it yet. The only RTS I've ever played is Rome Total War, which is awesome, so I'll give it a try some time.

I think I remember playing that game 3 years ago, but BF2 won my time for PC gaming...
It was a decent game but couldn't hold my attention

I have played trough it several tines as the Empire, and in Forces of Corruption also. Love it.

whenever I play it I think about galactic battlegrounds. I loved that game, even though it was just an obvious age of empires clone.

Is Empire easier than Rebellion when it comes to brute force attacks? It's always a pain in the ass trying brute force as the Rebellion, you're bound to lose half your units against a good Imperial fleet.

I hated that game.

I hated the land battles.
Space battles were epic and cinematic like the real deal

No idea, I would never lower myself to play as some Rebel Scum. I am a dedicated servant of the Empire and the Emperor!
(Yes I am a total Star Wars nutcase, I even do Star Wars costuming, and yes I am an Imperial, if not outright Sith disciple.)

501st?
I hear you on the Imperial thing. Those uniforms look sharp. I also always play dark side when given the chance. Dark side Bastilla/Revan forever!
(especially when you get to beat the Empire out with a fleet of Venators:D)
Venators are the sexiest ship in all of SW. Bar none.
I've never played this but I've always sort of looked at it like "Well, I like SW, I like to command things, why don't I play this?" And then I don't for some reason.

Not 501st, although I have considered it.
I do belong to the Grand Army of the Republic, a similar group.
