Could Someone From harmonix answer this quick question?

So, I was planning on buying my little brother RB for christmas, but after reading all those broken guitar/drum issues, i decided to just wait until it was all cleared up.

and i was reading up, and you guys released a second set of drum kits (im not sure about the guitars) that were less faulty, but in the end failed i guess?


anyways, i want to get my brother a working one (hes 12, so he'll probably bang the crap out of the thing), so my question is Was there a third, less less faultier drum kit and guitar released? so that i could have a better chance of him not getting a broken one, and me not having to deal with customer support and all that?

i dont mind waiting till january or whenever to buy it for him, just less hassle would be nice.

I don't work for EA or Harmonix, but my advice is don't get it. The more I deal with EA, the more I want to never buy anything EA again. Just a few problems your brother will face when he tries to get some support.

1. Techs don't speak English
2. Its a long distance number (I guess EA knew they would be getting a lot of calls and didn't want a 1800 number)
3. Techs lying to you (There's some posts in here that talk about it)
4. No credit card, long wait
5. With credit card, long wait
6. The PS3 version can't use guitar hero 3 guitar

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the game, its to bad I have had to wait 30 days (now I am getting charged the $125) for a mic that was never sent. Sadly the problems out way the fun, which is why the tech support page is so huge. Its just to much of a hassle. I was going to do the same thing and get this for my little brother and sister, but I didn't because of my (and thousands of others) horrible experiences.

Just an opinion though take it or leave it.
