I can't hear my drums

I can barely hear anything in the game when I hit the red or green pads, and I hear absolutely nothing when I hit the yellow or blue pads. What's the deal?

Need more information.

Does the game work? Do your drum hits register? Do the drums work? what's the ACTUAL problem?

Yes.

I've been playing with headphones so the sound made by hitting the drum pads doesn't overwhelm the in-game drum sounds as much.
