How about a guilty pleasures song pack or requests?? What I mean by that is everyone has their own tastes in music, so there is always a song or two that stick in your head that you think you shouldn't like because of whom it was performed by or the type of music it is - but damn it that was what the internet was invented for... you can go to itunes & load it to your ipod without anyone knowing so you can secretly listen to it. Please remember that the song you list should be able to be ported to Rock Band.

Let me get the ball rolling...
KELLY CLARKSON - Breakaway (like the way the song builds & has a catchy chorus, plus you have to admit she can sing, even if you don't like her - try singing the vocals on rock band? Also has a decent guitar part in the song)
DAUGHTRY - What I Want (radio rock with some balls - who knew?? Plus the track featues Slash on guitar & again strong vocals)
DAUGHTRY - It's Not Over (again radio rock with a slight edge & a catchy hook - has a underlying bass part that can be noticed, plus a catchy guitar riff & strong vocals)
AVRIL LAVIGNE - Girlfriend (catchy as hell - I hate myself for liking it - nice drum parts with vocals & guitar)
HILARY DUFF - Supergirl (Sugary sweet chorus - makes you mant to go on a diet after listening - would work for the vocals & guitar)

I think all of these song would work for various reasons in Rock Band and you would love to hate to play them.

Hmmmm.... I could list Nickelback, but I suppose someone else probably will.

I don't even know where to begin...

Saturday night - Bay city rollers
Centerfold - J. giles band
Too bad - Nickelback (For the OP)
*** on feel the noize - Quiet riot
The warrior - Scandal (Could use a second chance since 80's didnt do well)
All star - Smash mouth (Awesome song, guilty only because it was so overplayed)
Eye of the tiger - Survivor (Whats not to love )

I could keep going on, but I've made it pretty clear Im a child of the eighties, I'll leave some room for others.

I had to add one more, would be a huge shame to not have it some day, to rot my brain.

Lump - The presidents of the united states of america (Swoon)

The Final Countdown - Europe

18 and Life - Skid Row

Pretty much more hair metal. The songs are incredibly lame, but they are so damn catchy and fun to play.

*** on feel the noize - Quiet riot

That would be an excellent song to include...

I would also add these although I am not realy embarressed to say I like them...

Its My Life - Bon Jovi
My Own Prison - Creed
Man In The Box - Alice In Chains

Now these are some funny ones but they use alot of keyboards rather than a guitar (although I am sure you could just make the guitar play the keyboards parts obviously):

Take on Me -A-HA
Somebody's Watching Me - Rockwell
One Night In Bangkok - Pet Shop Boys

Everybody's Working for the Weekend - Loverboy

I'm not too embarassed to admit I like it, but it annoys the crap out of everyone I know.

That's a great one...I would totally rock out on that!

I'd also go for the Local H version of Toxic by Britney ...that song simply amuses me.

A lot of 80's songs come to mind:

I Remember You - Skid Row
Fly To The Angels - Slaughter
Love Will Find A Way - Tesla
Close My Eyes Forever - Ozzy and I think it was Lita Ford
Wait - White Tiger (at least I think that's who sang it)
Here I Go Again - Whitesnake

I can't remember any of the songs, but Bad English would definately be a guilty pleasure.
