I got rock band yesterday, and i have noticed that on the guitar, the strum bar is very loose, and hangs almost all the way down. it works fine, but throws me off. is it supposed to be like this? is there a way to fix it? also, i can't turn the xbox on with any of the instruments, and the only way to turn the instruments on at all is to turn the xbox on, then unplug the hub, then plug it back in. is this normal? thanks

My sturm bar is also loose like you describe.
I don't think you can turn the xbox on using any controllers plugged in through the 4 port hub. At least I can't. But they generally are detected just fine when i turn on the xbox at the console or standard controller.

I got my RockBand on Dec 7. The born date was Nov 3. Like you my guitar had a very loose strum bar and was annoying to use. Also there was alot of rattling inside the body. I noticed that on songs with fast consecutive notes the guitar would miss notes. I could play those same songs and use the xplorer controller and not miss any. On 12/18 I contacted EA and got a replacement guitar RMA to me. After getting treated badly by them, lied to, and having my credit card held twice on 12/20 I contacted HMXSEAN from Harmonix. Within 5 minutes of messaging him he replied back. When I contacted EA later in the day I was immeidately sent to the escalation department. All the holds were taken off my credit card. My guitar which had not yet been sent was sent and I received it on 12/21. The replacement guitar is a night and day difference. The strum bar is still magnetic but very tight. Feels just like the xplorer without the click. The fret buttons are completely quiet. The whammy bar is tight. It hits every note every time. I do believe I got a good one this time! I want to thank HMXSEAN for the help. Harmonix does stand by their product. If your guitar is not keeping pace I would get a replacement.

My strum bar also feels loose as there is a fair bit of wiggle. It came out of the box that way and I can hear a rattling inside like there is a piece of something bouncing around in there. Is this how it is supposed to be or should I RMA this ?
