Can we get an official word as to when this will be offered?

It is total bullcrap that EA releases it in Canada and does not even have a warranty process IN PLACE. They had tons of time to do something about it, and it's crunch time now that it's out here in Canada, yet they still offer nothing. I phoned EA today, here was basically how the conversation went:

Me: Hi, Rock Band is now out in Canada, what are the chances of getting some warranty information now?

EA: Sorry, currently warranty is only offered in the USA and will be in Canada when the game is released there.

Me: Excuse me? Press release states Dec. 20th as release date. Stores here are already carrying it. What is the RMA process.

EA: Uhh, err, we don't have one.

Me: Let me speak to your manager.

Manager: Yes you would like to inquire about the RMA process.

Me: Yes, Rock Band is officially out in Canada, you guys have already delayed it for a months time, and your representative tells me there is still no warranty process in place for Canada.

Manager: We are currently working on the warranty process, we appreciate your patience.

Me: I've had a guitar that's been broken out of the box for a month now, and that's a month of the warranty that I lose, and each day you guys waste, is time I'm losing from my warranty because you haven't gotten your act together. This is your product, and you should be supporting it from the moment you release it.

Manager: Sir we're really sorry about that but all you can do is wait until we announce the warranty process for Canadians.

Me: Have a good day.

So basically, Canadians are still SOL even though it's out here.

Man, if EA's always this much of a hassle, I never want to deal with them again.

I know, this sucks. I've had a broken drum set for 1 week, and a broken guitar for a month (bought it in the U.S.). I can barily talk from all the singing I've been doing :)

I just RMA'd by guitar on the website today (and last night it still wasn't working). Try again guys!

First of all, there were reasons that it was delayed in Canada, and not having a replacement process in place was one of them. You imported the game when it wasn't released here yet, so that was a chance you took. Don't blame EA for that. Secondly, it looks like it is up now, so try again. :P

I have to tell you buddy that you are wrong, there is still NO Canadian Warranty process...how do I know? Well here I am with a brand new special edition that is missing a microphone. EA's solution, nothing currently available because there is NO Canadian Warranty. So I'm currently searching for a USB microphone that will hopefully be compatible with this game. And yes this Special Edition was bought here in Canada complete with English & French print/instructions. Funny how it says in both French and English that there is a warranty and to call EA but when you do call they tell you the opposite.
