Xbox button on drums flashing, controller not detected

Just like the title says, my drum set has power and can turn on my xbox, but once on the xbox button continuously flashes and xbox doesn't recognize the drum set as a vaild controller once it turns on.

Any idea what might be wrong?

You need a replacement...my first one out of the box did this and there is no solution...you could try plugging it directly into the xbox or plugging it in after the xbox is turned on but neither of those things worked for me...I got a replacement and it worked immediately...
