I recently sent my XBOX in because of the RROD. I got it back and had to go through my DLC history and re-download everything. Shortly after this I was cruising down my song list and a screen popped up that said the "disc was unreadable" and booted me to the dashboard. I thought nothing of it and it didn't really seem to happen again for a while.

I downloaded the Breaking Benjamin pack. Whenever I go to try and play the song, or even float over it to hear the sample clip, I get the cannot read disc error again and get booted to the desktop.

I have a lot of dollars invested in this (Over 850 songs) and am hoping that somebody can help me with this problem.

PS: I have already tried to delete the Breaking Benjamin pack from my hard drive and re-download it to no avail.

Please help!

Thank you.

Perhaps the Disc is scratched?

Do you have a buddy whose disc you can borrow or an RB1 disc to try if you are using an RB2 disc?

Did you try deleting the pack and NOT re-DLing it to make sure it does not happen without that pack?

The disc is in good condition with no scratches. I will try someone elses copy and see if that works.

If it was the disc, it doesn't make sense that other DLC will play, but not that pack. It makes me think that the game can't read the hard drive for that particular set of songs.

Anything is possible, I dont know how or when the device refers to the disc.

I suppose you could try deleting that problem pack and DLing another new pack you dont have in its place for grins too just to see if it glitches.

Just tossing out random ideas.

I thought I saw someone else have a problem with that pack but I cant seem to find that thread so it just might be in my head.

Not sure how it works on the 360, but maybe a bad spot / sector on the HD? And it keeps trying to write to it? If you delete them, and download something else does the something else do the same thing?

Everything worked with an RB1 disc. Went out and bought a new RB2 disc. So the problem was with the disc even though it was in pretty good shape. Thank god the game went on sale everywhere for $20.
