I love playing bass in RB. Now, I'm not an uber expert player or anything, but.. I'm "decent" on the bass parts. Even to the point where I'm better on EXPERT bass on harder songs than I am on HARD guitar on easier songs... this has a lot to do with the fact that I'm a drummer IRL and can FEEL the bass line.
To the point:
No solo tour kinda sucks... but I learned recently that you can quickplay solo on the bass and it records your leaderboard scores.
So... I'm having fun seeing where I stack up.
I'd like to start a "gold stars on bass" thread here.. so people, post up what score you get the gold stars on the bass part in quickplay.
Hopefully within the next few hours I'll have some to post :)
On XBOX LIVE feel free to add me to your friends list (SSP WOLF) so we can compare leaderboard positions. (I doubt I'll ever be high enough to be searchable at the top, lol)

Bass is, and will always be, the bastard child of guitar in rhythm games.

Say It Ain't So: 72,400 is where I got the stars. Total score: 73,151
Will post more as I get them :)

i too am a bass fan, and i'm somewhat disappointed that there's no solo bass career... (hint hint nudge nudge Harmonix... ). There are some songs in there tho that are just aren't fun on bass (aka 'boring'), in which case I obviously prefer the guitar, but in most cases yeah, bass is where my heart is.
I still only play medium tho, but I have fun and enjoy playing and thats what really matters to me anyway.

I'd like a solo tour so I can make money for my bass player. He needs the goat bass!

You can still play on the guitar tour with your bassist, so why not do that?

Step up your difficulty and the "boring" songs become quite interesting. Enjoy

Back to the original thread. Good idea. Here's a thread that lists the scores. I don't have any to announce here though. :(
