I am having so much trouble with this song on hard drums. I can beat every other single song on hard but this song. Any tips will be greaty appreciated. Also any vids of anyone doing this song will be even more appreciated because then i could see how your hands are positioned and such. Anyway........:(Iron Maided:(

well there's not much to do except keep hacking at it. I'm also stuck on it.
I ignore the yello at the end of the streak of reds, but other than that I try to faithfully play. Don't miss any energy phrases, they're fairly easy to hit and will bail you out.

Yeah, that one was tough. I actually think it's tougher on hard than on expert. It's also the one of the only songs in the game to reverse the snare and hi hat colors on hard (for obvious reasons...unles you're a lefty).
Anyway, I don't know how good your drum technique is, but I know I found it easier using an alternate sticking instead of alternating. Go practice the "fast part" section and use a R LLR LLR LLR pattern where your left hand basically stays on the red drum and your right hand just alternates back and forth between the red and yellow pads. Much easier. Hardest part for me was wanting to play all the notes (especially bass kicks) and having to play only the ones noted!

omg i know...this song is the only one i cant beat on hard. I got so fed up with it that i started to play expert. I'm about halfway done with that.
Thats the thing about these games. On every instrument im stuck. On guitar GGaHT is killin me. I dont like playin for 9 minutes and losing.

You know, I love Run to the Hills on guitar and vocals, but on bass and drums, it makes Raining Blood look fun. :(

RTTH was the only song I had not beaten on drums on hard. I practiced it for a while but, eventually, I just wanted to clear the level and didn't care how.
So I concentrated mainly on playing the red pad and bass drum and had my wife play the yellow pad for me. I was able to play most of the blue and green notes as well.
It wasn't pretty (2 stars and 79%) but we completed it on the second attempt.

Practice. I was stuck on this song for a day but managed to get a feel for it, you really have to get into it.

After beating RTTH on expert, comfortably but not spectacularly, I went back to hard and hit up RTTH to see if it was as bad as I remember. I failed pretty quickly - it's is WAY WAY WAY harder on hard than on expert IMO. It's also the only song in the entire game that I truely HATE playing.

I think it just takes a lot more control on hard than it does on expert. Expert seems more about endurance. I honestly think the only reason the song's hard is because of the pads. There's so little rebound and they start miss-triggering as you speed the song up. You have to have extremely good technique to combat that. The song is pretty simplistic otherwise.
I concur with the one person that suggested not alternating and switching to a double stick roll pattern (sans the last hit). You need that pattern in a few other places anyway (like some of the ballroom blitz rolls)
To the person suggesting to crossover their arms, I can't imagine that. The kit's already too small. I feel like I'm playing on a fisher price drumset. My kingdom for a MIDI-Rockband Drum converter.
