usb hub problems

i got rockband last night and after playing for about an hour after work i went to bed leaving just the guitar plugged into the hub. when i woke up this morning i turned on my 360 and the hub is not transfering power to any of the intsuments and i no the instrument arent broken because they work in the xbox 360 usb ports. what should i do ive tried lots of things even tried plugging the adapter into another plug in the wall still no luck. help please

I cannot speak for Xbox but I have a PS2 and got this crazy idea of connecting a standard powered computer USB hub to get that needed 3rd port and wah lah it worked flawlessly. This may be an option for you to rule in or out your Xbox hub being the problem (sounds very likely its the hub). If you have one laying around or know someone who does, try it. Might be a cheaper fix then replacing your Xbox hub as well.

This happened to me too. However, I call support and about 3-4 days later I had a new USB hub sitting at my front door.
