View Full Version : How Often Do You Use Harmonies?

One of the big features of the game unlike any other, yet I'm curious to know how many people so far have taken advantage of it.

Me and my mom will play harmonies casually, yet we're starting to go on higher difficulties and such. I also enjoy learning the harmony parts that I didn't know before.

So, do you play harmonies often? Is it hard to get other people to sing?

My friends either can't harmonize to save their lives, or don't like the Beatles, so no harmonies for me.

See, that's the wrong line of thinking in my opinion. Harmonies can't actually fail you unless you're unable to hit the main line. As long as someone's bar gets filled, then all is well and you'll at least get a Fab. That's why we always use harmonies here. I'll usually play bass or guitar and sing along. Sometimes I'm on the harmony, often I'm on the lead, and sometimes nothing at all. But as long as our dedicated singer has it under control, then all is well. So, unless a band is going for gold stars, there should be no reason not to use harmonies. For those seeking gold stars then yeah, it's going to be tricky to use them.

I love harmonizing, but I only have one mic. I only harmonize when I play with a bunch of friends, and one of them brings a mic. I'll probably invest in another mic and mic stand for Christmas if I can find some less expensive ones.

I sing harmonies alone all the time because I like to choose which line I sing.

You can sing the harmony parts by yourself. I do it all the time. You can choose to sing the other lines when they are available in songs even when you are alone. So while technically you are not harmonizing with another player, you are singing the harmony part.

I often sing the brown or light blue line exclusively when by myself. I recommend doing this for a challenge. Add playing an instrument at the same time for even more of a challenge.

Always sing with a friend. Going for leaderboard spots so it definitely makes a difference.

Yea, I sing harmonies by myself pretty much whenever I play by myself.

I've only got one mic, so That means no harmonies with other people, but I had never really thought about doing them by myself, so I'm definitely going to try it next time I play.

I only have one microphone and I never do vocals. If I was home I probably would. I'll have to wait until winter break I guess.

I ADORE playing the harmonies. Honestly, even when I'm singing alone I select harmonies, just so I can sing along with George in any given song.

But words cannot describe how fun it is figuring out the harmonies with a friend or two..I'm very sorry for the people who don't/can't sing harmonies.

Good poll, by the way.

There wasn't really a poll option that covered me at all.

If I'm singing vox/lead, I'm probably singing alone. My gf doesn't know the harmonies that well, and likes singing lead. If she wants to play/sing, then I play drums (which I play most of the time anyway), and sing harmonies while drumming. So if she plays, I'm always harmonizing. If she isn't playing, I'll be singing by myself.

Where's the option for "I like to sing whatever vocal part in the song that I want so I choose harmonies" option?

When we play with 6 players at a time, singing harmonies is the funnest thing, I think! It's so much fun, and it's so funny when people don't know what to do! haha! Especially at the end of All You Need Is Love... the "Love is all you need" part is halarious with 3 people! haha.
