I can't imagine I'm the only one having this problem. 42" HDTV...Beatlemania plus Bass Groove (on Expert at least) is hard to see the green notes. Yellow, too, but I think since they're in the middle it's a tad easier. Anyone have any video settings that may help with this?

Stand farther from your TV or you'll end up blind :P

I have the same problem sometimes. I mostly have it with the green and orange notes, though.
With some bright backrounds and playing bass while having Beatlemania activated makes it pretty hard to not miss.
Tried turning my TV brightness down, but that didn't help much.

It was definitely noticeable on my first run through the songs, but now I'm pretty sure of where the green notes are hiding, so it's not that big a deal anymore.
But yeah, first time playing the game I had to squint a bit to make out the green notes on guitar solo + overdrive. Especially on Something.

Maybe turn down the brightness?

I'm colour blind and I know what you're talking about. Its tripped me up a couple of times, but nothing that has worried me too much. I dont really know if I can suggest much to improve the situation, but I'll say that us colour blind peeps know where you're coming from.

Seriously, standing closer does help but I don't want to stand that close :).

I also had this problem on a few songs, made me miss a note or two.

LOL - totally relate. For me, standing 8'-10' is pushing it. When I play solo on guitar/bass, I try to back up to around 12' or more. If I don't, there is too much difference when playing with more people - it's hard to adjust to the smaller note highways.
geez.... I gotta get more friends :o who have this game.....

Beatlemania + Bass Groove + Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds = Heaven.

I simply can't play online. I play drums and with Beatlemania active I really struggle to see orange and yellow notes. When online I basically give up any hope of doing FC's. The graphics are wonderful to look at but gameplay wise they are really a bit too much for me.

When I first started seeing it happen just the flashing of the words "Bass Groove" was enough to distract me and cause me to miss a note... got used to it now... and I've almost mastered activating Beatlemania without messing up as well

I missed one kick note messing up my FC in Revolution because of the Beatlemania.

I think I may have figured this out. I also have trouble seeing the notes. It's terrible. BUT...I found that it's only a problem with Breakneck speed turned on! I can't play with it off. So, I hope they can patch this somehow.

Incidentally, LRB has the same problem.

This is the biggest issue for me I think with TB:RB (which is otherwise excellent). They didn't really pick a very friendly colour palette for people with colour vision problems (around 10% of males...)

I must be the only one who plays the game without even thinking about the colors. I just look at what position the note is on the highway and thats how I fret. Because of that I can only play rockband if I am setting on rightside of the room (I play lefty :D ).

It's not even really the colors for me. I simply can't see the notes at all, when in overdrive on drums or bass, without some serious eye straining..

It may be too late for these two games, but I am sure that feedback from them will be incorporated into RB3. If us die-hard RB players with thousands of dollars in DLC are to embrace the next release it's important we address playability issues now.
HMX Please take note! I have noticed this on both LRB and TB:RB. It appears that in a (successful) effort to make these newer ames more visually appealing, it is more difficult to "read" the note highways than in RB2.
While the overall appearance of the game is critical to the gameplay experiance, more attention should be placed on keeping the highways visible especially on expert levels, faster speeds, and when all three vertical highways are on-screen at once (making them smaller by design.)
If there are creative differences amongst the developers regarding this type of issue then PLEASE at least put in a modifier of some type (extra's screen maybe?) that would allow for a "high visibility" mode that disables some of the more distracting effects.

They just need to decrease the opacity. That alone should work.
