RBN Preview not working - expert

i've just authored the expert drums for a track, and the guitar also

I opened the RBN preview window to just see what it'd look like, but it doesn't show anything.

it only shows something when i've put something in the easy difficulty

In the upper left corner of the Preview Window it says "SKILL", and under that you can click to cycle through the difficulties.

I just tried it but it's absolutely blank - I have everything authored but nothing's happening. any ideas?

Just to make sure, there's a few things you need to make sure of as displayed in the pic below. Make sure you are on the right midi track (in mine, PART DRUMS), make sure the RBN Preview FX channel is checked as on, and lastly as was posted above make sure the skill is changed to Expert, not Easy, and it's on Drums not Guitar/Bass (although that would still display notes, just very oddly).

If those are all set and you still aren't seeing it, I'm not sure what's wrong. Make sure you hit play too, as the window won't refresh until you do so in most cases.

Also, make sure you're selecting the fx window on the Drums midi track

I'm on my second track now and the preview is working fine

But I went back to my first song, to check Hopos on the guitar, and the preview just isn't working - I have it all set up to work like it does on the second track, but the expert guitar preview is just a solid block, with nothing moving

any ideas why it might be not playing the preview?
