Just received my 3rd guitar from EA and the overdrive function is still not working properly. It works intermittently at best. But mostly it gets stuck in the on position so whenever my energy meter gets filled 50%, overdrive kicks in automatically whether I want it to or not. Other times I can do somersaults and overdrive will not respond. I have the GH2 Xplorer and have had no problems properly activating overdrive with it, so I know it's a hardware issue. I've actually gotten used to hitting the back button to activate overdrive, but when the guitar has a mind of its own, the back button is of little use. Not being able to control the deployment of overdrive as intended has made the game incredibly frustrating at times, particulary when my band tries to stack our overdrives for a score multiplier. Frankly, I'm tired of being the weak link because of faulty hardware.

Also, I noticed my 3rd guitar has three green stickers on the back? What does this mean? My two previous guitars didn't have these. I'm guessing this is returned model they just shipped back out to me. I'm hoping they let me keep my 2nd guitar since the strum bar seems to work better and the whammy bar is much tighter than on the sticker-covered replacement model. Anyone else having this much trouble with overdrive?

yep I unpacked my guitar to have a plastic rattle inside and overdrive is very hard to enable.

I got my fourth guitar the other day and the overdrive was a little better than the other 3, but it still wasn't good. I actually sent that one back instead of my third thought cause the strum bar was worse and it was all scratched up. **** refurbished guitars. I bought a new one, i want a new one.

On the gh2 sg guitar you just needed to open it up and adjust the angle of the tilt sensor. Dunno how the tilt sensor looks on the fender though.

Update. Contacted EA and they want me to return both guitars. Send the 2nd one back, then apply for a new rma for the 3rd one. This is making me a bit nervous. I am in no way convinced that my fourth guitar will be any better and EA hasn't been very reassuring on the matter. Given the used condition of the 3rd one they sent, there's a chance the next replacement could be a lot worse, especially given the massive amounts of returns they're currently experiencing. It seems the strum bar issue is getting all the attention, but little is being done with overdrive malfunctions. Is there any chance I'll get a fully functional controller before the 60 day warranty expires? Only a few more weeks to go and I'm losing hope. Well at least I've become more acquainted with the friendly employees at my local UPS Store.
