Gold stars?

What do the different colored checkmarks next to your name on the leaderboards mean and what does it mean when you get gold stars at the end of a song instead of the usual black and white.

I dont know about the checkmarks, since i dont have xbox live (GRR I NEED FORTUNATE SON DLC) but gold stars mean you had a REALLY high score on that song and you used the overdrive well and stuff. Its like a 6th star.

Check mark colors indicate the difficulty you beat a song/set on. No color = Easy, Bronze = Medium, Silver = Hard, Gold = Expert.

Actually, sorry to steal your thunder Nsauc but I think Easy is black. Just in case anybody was seeing black and curious. I've never seen it before, but I heard it through the grape vine... yea I heard it through the grape vine...

Our band has been playing on Medium and Hard and getting black check marks. So I don't think it is Easy.
