so I bought the rock band special edition for PS3 today I set it ll up and I followed the instructions butthe Guitar just wont work the Mic and Drums are fine.

Try making sure the guitar is synced up with the USB dongle. The red light on the dongle should stay lit, and not flash. If it's flashing, press the white button on your PS3 guitar, near where the PS button is (it's in the area that looks like where a wire would plug in on a real guitar).
