Hey guys, does anyone here use an Easycap to record Rock Band gameplay? I'm having an issue getting it to work, and am hoping for some guidance.

I'm running on Windows XP, an IBM T40. My issue is that I am getting sound perfectly, but no video (just a black screen.)

At one point when I first got the device, I didn't have all the necessary splitters and cables, and I plugged my Dreamcast into it directly just to test it out, and was able to get it working. Now, I can't even get THAT to work.

My desired setup is taking the Red/White/Yellow cable from the 360, and putting a splitter into each plug, and finally using 2 separate red/white/yellow composite cables to plug one side into the TV, and one side into the Easycap. All the youtube videos I've watched say this is an appropriate way to do it.

I have my video set to NTSC and Video Composite, and I've tried it in all formats (AVI, MPG, WMV) but still no video. I've also tried doing it in Windows Movie Maker instead of the bundled software, and still no luck.

Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone gone through the game thing? Any help would be really appreciated. If you have any questions, let me know and I'll answer them as best as I can.

Thanks!
