PS3 PSN Export Code not working!

Sony had no clue other than to tell me that the code must be invalid.

When I called, the Sony rep I talked to blamed it on network traffic from everyone playing Modern Warfare 2.

Apparently these people think error code 80023156 is an automated blocking code to combat people trying to brute force free stuff.

Unless anyone else here has got the 80023156 code and then subsequently got their download working after that, we may have to get new codes from HMX.

Kong... I can see something like that happening. I never once got the error code 80 whatever it was. I only got the this code is either invalid or not correct, please check again. I am currently 28% into my export download.... so add me to the can download and never go the error code, just the invalide or incorrect

I just entered my code on the site, then my PS3 and now downloading the export DLC as of 10:36pm EST. No issues at all. Glad I waited!

Did you guys enter the code more than 5 times? If you do that with a CC it locks you out for 24 hours. (But the CC still works after then.)

I guess they built in a rewards system for those who didn't spend the day spamming the system and whining that Sony and/or HMX are evil.

Why even do it this way? Why not just sell the stupid key in the store, why all this ass backwards way around, enter this code to recieve this code to unlock this code to realize your a loser for not buying an xbox?

I'd say wait a day or two to try your code again before you throw in the towel completely. As people have mentioned several times in this thread, the same problems were happening with the Xbox until they eventually ironed it out.

Why this way? So folks don't just rent the game and spend 10$ for the export. And also to reduce the strength of secondary sales.

I wonder if my main account is corrupt somehow. Whenever I try the redeem code, I get the same "An error has occurred. (080023156)" message. If I switch to my other PSN, the same code works fine when I try to redeem it (although I don't actually complete the transaction). I'd prefer to use the code with my main account if possible, but it doesn't appear to want to cooperate.

Not to gloat, but no error, no invalid code, it just works. I'm just surprised the code doesn't just rip the tracks off of the LRB BD, but instead downloads over the Internets and overwhelms Sony's servers during COD:MW2 launch week.

I did spam the code earlier today and got a whole bunch of invalid then after a while it started giving the Error 80023156 before the PSN store updated. I'll wait 24 hours, and if it doesn't work I'll be severely PO'd.

It's definitely blocked by the PSN user ID and not by IP. I had a friend log in on my account from his house and he received the same error code.

So, how confident is everyone on the 24 hour timeline? What if it doesn't unlock by then? When does the 24 hours start? From the first time you received the error code, the first time you entered the code or the last time you entered the code?

I do have a subaccount but I'd really rather not have to pay Sony another $10 that I've already put into my main account for this download.

It's definitely blocked by your PSN user ID.

1. Log into a subaccount (if you don't have one, create one).
2. Go through the process of redeeming the code through account management. It should work now that you're under a different PSN.
3. Download the export key.
4. Log out of your subaccount.
5. Log into your main account.
6. Start LRB.
7. Go to the in-game music store and purchase the license.
8. Start downloading.

I've got it downloading right now.

Well I can confirm the work around works, tried again this morning and got the error code, signed in as wife, re entered the code, got the download 100kb file, re signed in as me, put in disc, went to music store, purchased export key, downloading now.

Just try that people, I just feel sorry for the people who don't come to these forums and read this stuff.

I also got that error this morning, but I followed the advice from other posts/threads and just kept trying. It worked on about the 4th or 5th attempt. I'm downloading the songs now, but it's so brutally slow. I'm not even on 1% after almost an hour.

The 1.2GB pack downloaded pretty quick for me. 20-mbit connection was maxed out at roughly 2MB/sec.... so I got the entire pack in roughly 10 minutes. Time to JAM!!!

This is very frustrating, the code on the back of the booklet wont even work here on the RB site to get my redemtion code to export.

I've been looking for the export key in the PSN store and I can't find it so I am assuming you need the redemtion code first, can anyone confirm this for me please?

I don't understand why HMX never made the export easier like the track packs or RB1, this is rediculous, and $10 to export on top of it all!

Just got the same issue with the export key, brand new sealed game, this shouldn't happen, it seems that we are expected to put up with this, if you have bought the game the export should be free and should work. IS that too much to expect? I dont wan't to play Lego rockband I got it for the DLC.
