View Full Version : FC detector, or just a good job?

I've noticed at the end of some songs, you get 100% and a power chord goes off, but sometimes it doesn't.
Strangely, the times it doesn't seem to be overstrums.
I'm not sure if it's picking up the FC though, or if it's just some large amount of points that sets it off.

I was thinking the same thing when I fced a song, I think it does notice it, not sure, will have to double check.

I thought the flower stripes and the power cord were for Gold Stars.
A nice touch for sure.

I've had it pop up on Hard runs too. (I split about 70/30 Hard/Expert on guitar)

Could be that you hit what would be the gold star cutoff, if hard had one? Like maybe it's the same formula

I originally thought it was for an FC, but I've gotten an FC without the chord going off. I think it's for unlocking content.

I think I've gotten it each time I got 100%, and I don't think I've ever gotten it otherwise (after about 30 or so songs). Maybe missing sustains prevents it?
Edit: Mis-read the OP. I agree, it might be for an FC without overstrumming.

Well, I've now seen it go off with a definite non-FC (1 overstrum), and not go off on two FCs (one expert, and one hard), so it doesn't seem to be tied to that (or gold stars, ftm).
Though the FC's were both lower overall point songs, so it might just be a flat score amount.

Since the game displays your note streak, it's possible that it can track the FC (note streak = notes in song).
It's possible it may also mean a new highscore though.

I bet that is it, new high score. Hmm, interesting.

It's not an FC is you over-strum. It took me a while to get it, but 100% does not equal FC. :)
FC is short for "Full Combo", which means every note hit and the multiplier maxed-out the whole time with no extra notes or over-strums or extra drum hits. I suppose FM for Full Multiplier would be more accurate, but I guess the multiplier is a combo-meter of sorts.

I get an FC, yet mine won't make that sound unless it's the last song on a setlist.

The little power chord/solo thing I think is 100% on a solo, based on further play.
Granted, I'm not a competent enough guitarist to stably test things requiring FC's, lol (or well, I'd get bored of Master/Slave and Something in the Way really fast) so I'[ve more or less left it to mystery.
