BEFORE EVEN READING THIS THREAD, PLEASE STOP POSTING WHICH SONGS THAT YOU THINK THAT ARE THE BEST IN THE ENTIRE GAME. YOUR CHOICES SHOULD BE LIMITED TO THE SONGS IN THE POLL. YOUR FAVORITES WILL BE FEATURED IN THE POLL AT SOME POINT ANYWAY.

You all know how this works. Vote for your favorite out of the songs in the poll. After many rounds, we'll narrow this down to a single 'best' song in the game. As opposed to The Beatles: Rock Band version of this, the tracks are going to be put into the polls alphabetically based on their chronological order rather than just alphabetically.

Congrats to "Ghostbusters," the winner of round 4!

Here are the songs in this round:
1) "Let's Dance" ('82) - David Bowie
2) "Summer of '69" ('85) - Bryan Adams
3) "The Final Countdown" ('86) - Europe

Who do I think will win?: The Final Countdown. For god sakes, it's the final countdown. How can something so epic lose to two mediocre songs? (Sorry Bowie)

Past Results:

Round 1:
"Fire" ('67) - 55.32%
"Crocodile Rock" ('72) - 26.60%
"I Want you Back" ('69) - 18.09%

Round 2:
"Kung Fu Fighting" ('74) - 55.56%
"Ride a White Swan" ('70) - 24.69%
"Make Me Smile (Come Up And See Me)" ('75) - 19.75%

Round 3:
"We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions" ('77) - 54.22%
"The Passenger" ('77) - 28.92%
"Crash" ('88) - 16.87%

Round 4:
"Ghostbusters" ('84) - 66.67%
"Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" ('81) - 21.67%
"Free Fallin'" ('89) - 11.67%

NOTE: When the semi-finals come around, WWRY/WATC will be separated into two songs rather than being included in the same choice. My apologies for not doing this sooner. I don't believe that it will affect the results that drastically.

Anything but Let's Dance. I could go either way between the other two, voted Summer of 69 because I expect Final Countdown to take this poll.

Definitely Summer of '69. I like The Final Countdown too, but Summer is just so much more fun.

It looks like that I have underestimated the staying power of Bryan Adams.

I still hope that Europe comes back.

Legitimately good rock song versus two pieces of 80s fluff. Never thought I'd type this one out:

Go, Bryan Adams, go!

Here's my suggestion: for another poll, I suggest that you pit "We Will Rock You" against "We Are the Champions." The leading choice keeps its spot from round three, while the lesser choice will be put into a different round of voting. That way, when the smoke clears, there's a nice even number of fifteen rounds.

BTW, I voted "Final Countdown." As much as I like Bryan Adams, that synth riff is just too badly burned into my brain.

Read the bottom of the first post.

You're late to the party. :p

Final Countdown. Truly anthemic song by a surprisingly good band.

Let's Dance, although TFC is in a very close second place.

"Let's Dance" gets my vote easily. The other songs are good enough though.

Summer Of 69. One of the best in the game IMO.

These results are a fait accompli. Nothing remotely surprising so far, painting by numbers.
