I got the code to work after changing and setting up a new PSN, but now it just hangs on the download screen then an error (80710092) on the PSN.

try logging in as different user, retry code, download 100kb file, resign in as you, pop in disc, go to store, buy export key, download songs, works for anyone who trys, I know, had error code ten minutes ago, did this, now downloading the songs.

Is the only work around I know, hope that helps. Just try it, it works bro.

I can confirm that this method works. I am currently D/L the 1294MB file at a redicilously slow speed thanks to sony's shockingly crap servers.

Seriously why create another user for 1 file? Can you transfer the file once it is downloaded?

Why would you need to create a new user? I entered my code 3 times, it didnt work. I went out came back, store was updated, entered code, and voila, dowmloading. Worked perfect for me.
