I have an electric drumset that I don't use that often, and I also have rock band 2. My rock band 2 set isn't doing so well, so I decided o do the sock mod, and it's a bit better, but still no good enough.
So, I was wondering if there is any hope for me.
I have the Wii version, if that helps.

Not directly, but yeah, there are some MIDI converters out there that will work on the wii. Most notably: The Sethbox (made by a forum user here, sethmeisterg), the MIDI Rocker LX from ByteArts, and a GH:WT drum kit.

Unfortunately Roland + GHWT + Wii has proven to be an unstable match-up.
You are correct however in that it works flawlessly for PS3 and also the XBOX 360 via this method.
OP, you might want to start HERE. (http://docsrockbandmods.netforums.us/drum-mods-and-drum-gear-forums-guide-and-faq-vt749.html)
