That depends. Are the songs as repetitive as Freya? Because they have a good guitarist, but they waste it on playing three notes over and over for most of the song.

Well guys.. i think newwaytodie means another band called "sword"...
Anyway... i recommend the whole album of "The Sword" which was part of GH2.
Ive been listening to the album "Age of Winters" for a long time...
its absolutely great stuff and fits perfectly to RB!
So my suggestion is "Age of Winters" by "The Sword".
Dont mix it up with the 80ies band "Sword"

The Sword and Sword are two different bands. I don't have The Sword's album so I can't comment on that but Sword is amazing.

I'm surprised by the lack of talk of this band's recent Album and I thought I'd revive this oldie but goodie. If you haven't listened to The Sword's latest album "Warp Riders" 500 times by now, you need to get on that. These guys are one of the most exciting metal bands I've heard in a long long time. Warp Riders gets better with every play and I'd say it alone takes up about 10-20% of my ipod time even nearly a year after its release. It's epic sci-fi-sword-and-sorcery hard metal played by a former zz-top cover band from the heart of Texas. A serious concept album too, as the whole thing tells a story of warring planets and time traveling bounty hunters.
My question is, why is this not on Rock Band? I'm dying to learn some of these tracks on drums. "Freya" from their first album was my first exposure to the band in Guitar Hero II and I've been more or less obsessed with them since. That first album "Age of Winters" and their second "Gods of the Earth" are also excellent albums, if less pushed rhythmically or conceptually. This third is their best yet. It is far more complex rhythmically than their earlier songs and would be so fun to play. My recommendations for songs to add to the Rock Band library would be:
Tres Brujas: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpBZ2kz952c&feature=fvst
Arrows in the Dark: http://www.youtube.com/watchv=MtA5JhyA6AA&feature=related
Chronomancer !: Hubris (this one ROCKS REAL HARD with a brash Texas twang) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7yCchUbbKM
Lawless Lands: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pxicylHN9o&feature=related
Night City (probably the most accessible song on the album) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E39p-0l11Kc&feature=related
They'd get me playing this game again anyway. Listen up Harmonix! ;)
