Right, you have 45 songs on disk after a while your gonna get a little bit tired with them, all of a sudden abbey road comes along, you think great some more music to play online. WRONG, no one seems to buy it and when i asked why not they reply with "I cant really be bothered" i mean jesus christ can't you just get one song from there? instead of just playing the same 45 we done for the past two months go buy it. PLEASE

Despite purchasing the entire Abbey Road album, my online song selection habits were not heavily influenced. Standalone, none of them are my favorites, and I need to be in a certain mood to tackle the medley.

I think that a lot of this has to do with the fact that only 3 single tracks were announced, and none of them were premier songs. Once more singles come out (like the 8 tomorrow) it is much more likely that people will pick and choose at least one or two and that you will be able to play some DLC online more often.

Because the reality is that the "mainstream" people don't mind that there are "only" 45 songs on the disc; that's more than enough for them. It's we message board psychotics who can never be pleased.

That's probably a major reason, at least for casual buyers. I've never played any RB/GH games before, so am a complete newbie. 45 songs would be plenty for me, if I weren't a fan. Since I am, I've bought all of Abbey Road (even though it's my 2nd least fav album) and I'll buy all of Sgt. Pepper's and Revolver. Those albums I enjoy, but my purchase will (I hope), contribute to HMX releasing further albums.

Those people who only purchase a song or 2 aren't helping, and without further releases, their choices may be further limited.

Of course, they'll be the ones who b***ch the most about HMX 'abandoning' the game, if lack of sales causes no more releases.

Harmonix probably gives Jesus free dlc. Just a guess.

I'm new to Music games but I plan to buy every Beatle dlc that comes out. I'm voting with my wallet but I can't blame others for not spending their money. Times are tough all over.

I purchased All You Need Is Love the Sunday of the games release. I purchased Abbey Road, the full album, 7:00 AM Eastern, the morning of it's release. And I also purchased Sgt. Pepper, the full album, 7:00 AM Eastern, the morning of it's release. The morning Rubber Soul is released, by 7:00 AM Eastern, I'll have that purchased and downloaded too. And any future full albums or song packs, Beatles related, they'll be purchased the morning of their release too. I'm not trying to sound special or anything but I'm just showing my dedication to this game/project. If others show the same type of dedication, it would really boost the sales, and help provide more DLC for the future. I've noticed a lot of people don't want certain songs from Abbey Road, so they refuse to download the album. But seriously, if you don't like some songs from Abbey Road, its more than certain you don't like all the songs on the disc, but I'm sure you'd play them occasionally out of boredom of the other songs that you tend to "play out", so why not have a larger selection, even if it's not a song you like that much. It'll benefit you in the long run because theres a better chance they'll release more DLC and it'll probably have something you enjoy.

The only thing that'll let me down with this game is if they don't release either With The Beatles, or Beatles For Sale. Both would be wonderful, but realistically, and with the pessimistic views of future DLC around here, it doesn't seem like thats too likely. Get all the most popular LPs out of the way...after Rubber Soul, it MUST be Revolver, then The White Album, maybe a Singles pack with (please God let it be these) The Ballad of John and Yoko, Love Me Do, From Me To You, Long Tall Sally, She's A Woman, She Loves You, Old Brown Shoe, Rain, We Can Work It Out, Lady Madonna, and, of course, Hey Jude to shut all the pop-song lovers up, then fall back to one of those two I mentioned, and then come in with Help! or A Hard Day's Night, Magical Mystery Tour, Let It Be, or Please Please Me. If they're going to cut DLC short, leave it be with 3 of those last 4 I mentioned. I think we can all do without Yellow Submarine.

I'm thinking he has angels on harmonies, the father on drums, and the spirit on bass, with himself on guitar...

I still have never seen another player with DLC.

I played a couple of times online last week to not see anyone with DLC aswell, since everyone I know with it are playing MW2. Because of the 1 week PS3 DLC delay and then the 2 week online blackout, *SHAKES FIST*. Then on Saturday night I was lucky enough to join 2 others who both had the full album so we played a couple of track before playing the melody. Just a shame I was a little intoxicated at the time ;)

You know another possibility is that people are buying it but not playing online.

I've bought all TB:RB DLC and have over 250 RB2 DLC tracks as well but I've never played either game online. I play in person with family and friends exclusively. I guess I should try online but just never have. Since TB:RB skews towards an older audience (40 here) I'd guess there are a lot of others out there the same as me.

I don't think you can accurately measure DLC "success" for TB:RB based on what people have in online play.

I agree completely. I have all the PS3 available Beatles DLC but I have never played online. It's just more fun (for me) playing locally with friends and family.

I didn't pick up on the fact that the OP was talking about online players, but I agree with shrike3 and nowhere_man. I've got Abbey Road & Sgt. Pepper's, but I don't play online. Same with my Grandkids, and my Granddaughter's best friend family. Son in law bought both DL albums but the kids don't play online, and friend's family isn't online, period. Friend's Dad brought his Wii here and we got him connected up here so he could make the purchase.

I'd guess there are a lot of similar people, who prefer to not to play online, but with friends and family at home, or even solo.

Yeah I've gone online a couple of times and did that Search for Other Players thing. Each time I was highly disappointed. Not entirely sure exactly how it works, bt each time my experience goes like this:

1. I search for other players and someone pops on.
2. They pick a song and we play. I smoke it.
3. I pick a song (last time was Dig a Pony I think).
4. Other player hits one wrong note or misses one note.
5. Other players leaves me hanging in middle of song.

I play on the Wii so there's no online chat or anything. Not that it would matter anyway. The result would probably be the same. If I had a more consistent amount of play time (I sometimes go a whole week and can't play at all and when I can I sometimes don't know more than 10 seconds ahead of time) I would love to form an online band. Oh well....

Is there not a thread here where we can all add one another. I could do with getting some multiplayer trophies through online play.

Stephen1982 on PS3 if anyone's interested.

I'd say this comes as shocking, but it's not like you can find people with DLC on RB2 either. HMX really, really, really needs to make that an option somehow with RB3
