was last night. caught me totally by suprise.
I was at the Teenage Bottlerocket concert, and i was hanging out with them before the show and they know that i cover their songs all the time on youtube (such as: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77OCcHqLmKU). So then in the middle of their set, Ray says, hey Dylan, come up here and play In The Basement with us. It was so cool. Miggy (their bassist) is way taller than me so i could barely reach the strings meaning i didnt do very good but who cares?!, it was fun as hell.
I will remember this forever, my first time to play on stage was to play along side one of my favorite bands! I don't think many other people could say that!
And i was actually really comfortale on stage, i sang along with the song and the crowd was cheering me on. it felt awesome!

the ataris would always pick someone from the crowd to play a song onstage with them and i never got picked. i am quite envious. enjoy it!

Thats awesome, I have never been to a show where this happened. But I have been to musicals where they brought people on stage during the show.

They were really good. although i'm bummed that they ended on a cover of Talk Dirty To Me. They pretty much scratched their whole set b/c all of were requesting songs, it was really fun though. I also talked to Miggy for about 10 minutes before the show and then I talked to Ray for like 20 minutes, and he was trying to find some girls we could talk to...sadly it was a small show and there werent any single girls haha. And then I hung out with them for like 45 minutes afterwards too. It was awesome
the Cobra Skulls were really good too.

I've heard Rise Against can be a bit unfriendly, so I wouldn't count on it.
That sounds awesome, by the way. I can only imagine the rush you felt.

I agree with what you said about Rise Against
and yes, it was so surreal. I just looked over to my left and there is Kody and Ray who i'm playing with! I would never in a million years imagined that

So this thread is very old, but i thought i needed to put an update on this in that at the TBR concert last night (which was my 4th one to go to) i got to play up on stage with them again. it was just as much as the first time. and i spread the legs wide enough to where i could actually reach the bass this time. it was a blast. these guys are so cool. and so good live. go buy their **** now :)

I can't remember, honestly, I posted that awhile ago. I think I remember reading a story of a fan going up to them and saying something like "you guys were awesome!" and them saying "yeah, we know".
Hey, they could have just been worn out that day :p

LOL!!!! haha! :p
That is hilarious
Well yeah they are pretty dang famous now, it would get a little annoying to have people come up to you all the time saying "I'm your biggest fan!" and "You guys are awesome!", I think it might have been a joke, Tim (the lead singer) was a known jokester in school so I wouldn't put it off him to say that as one :p
Anyway I have heard countless more stories of them being nice from people online that I actually could chat with and I know they are not lying (They went to the same concert as me, I asked how they met them, he said he waited oustide after the show for a few hours and Zach came out, then a while later Tim came out too. I also talked to another person that had a very similar experience. They both said they were really nice)
So yeah I wouldn't worry about it :)
