View Full Version : Note Highway Visibility Issue

HMX Please take note! I have noticed this on both LRB and TB:RB. It appears that in a (successful) effort to make these newer ames more visually appealing, it is more difficult to "read" the note highways than in RB2.

While the overall appearance of the game is critical to the gameplay experiance, more attention should be placed on keeping the highways visible especially on expert levels, faster speeds, and when all three vertical highways are on-screen at once (making them smaller by design.)

Anyone else notice this?

If there are creative differences amongst the developers regarding this type of issue then PLEASE at least put in a modifier of some type (extra's screen maybe?) that would allow for a "high visibility" mode that disables some of the more distracting effects.

It may be too late for these two games, but I am sure that feedback from them will be incorporated into RB3. If us die-hard RB players with thousands of dollars in DLC are to embrace the next release it's important we address playability issues now.

My issue is in a venue with fairly bright background lighting, if I'm in bass groove and activate OD, suddenly certain notes cannot be seen well at all. Sometimes it's orange, sometimes it's yellow or red, depending on the background lighting.

Happens sometimes when Beatlemania is activated depending on what is going on in the background some of the notes tend to get harder to see.
Would prefer an option to make the note chart less transparent (and perhaps turn down the brightness of Beatlemania) that can be switched on+off in extras. Best of both worlds then :)

A big vote Yes for this problem. It's at it's worst when I have multiple players on the screen and overdrive (or Beatlemania) are activated. I miss notes simply because I can't see them at all.

A patch to fix this in both games (TB:RB and LRB) would be greatly appreciated.
