View Full Version : Most Likely: Revolver or Magical Mystery Tour?

Which do you think will come first? THIS IS NOT A POLL FOR WHAT YOU WANT AS DLC.
Revolver- Article stated that Rubber Soul just barely beat it in DLC. Would be more popular than Magical Mystery Tour.
Magical Mystery Tour- I don't know about the condition of the tracks, but this might be easier to create DLC out of.
EDIT: two statements from articles were proven false by Magnet. So, Revolver is looking better and better.

Probably Revolver, because then we'd get more mid Beatles Career Songs. Which is from 1965 - 1966. Help!, Rubber Soul and Revolver.

Hm well all you need is love ends in December so it could be coming in January with the rest of MMT to all consoles. Either way those seem most likely to be the next two followed by Help!

I don't care which one is first, as long as they both come out.
Anyway, I will say Magical Mystery Tour will be 1st; I think it will be the January album so the other 2 systems can get All You Need is Love.

Revolver. Simple reason- the more George Harrison, the better.

Revolver is FAR more deserving.

MMT because the fourth album would be coming right after Rubber Soul. Revolver is the next album in the Beatles's career so I don't think it will come next because they probably don't want to have two similar albums in a row.

Well, before DLC, Abbey Road was the album with the most songs on disk, so I doubt that the number of songs really matters.

Rubber Soul and Revolver were released one year apart, but they're miles apart musically speaking.
I think Revolver is the most likely album to be released next and it's the one I want the most. Mt is great, but we need more guitar driven tracks, and even if Revolver isn't that guitar heavy, it has more guitar than MMT(if MMT has guitar at all...) And don't get me wrong, I love other instruments charted to guitar, but a return to the basics isn't bad.

Oh, I'd much rather prefer Revolver. I thinnk the only songs that'd do well off of MMT would be Strawberry Fields Forever, Penny Lane, and possibly Blue Jay Way. I hate Penny Lane, and Blue Jay Way is kind of......ehhh. Revolver seems to have a lot more songs that'd sell well, the only problem is I can't imagine Tomorrow Never Knows being at one of the live venues. A dreamscape for this particular song would be much more optimal. I also hate Eleanor Rigby, but I admit it'd sell immensely well.
If it's my opinion on any album being released as DLC next, I'd have to predict for another early album, since we've got enough Abbey Road venue songs as it is. Help! or Hard Day's Night would be good choices. Still, I'm hoping for The White Album to be released sometime soon.

ANOTHER song that actually HAS a guitar part but for which they're transcribing other instruments for the guitar line?!? ("I Am the Walrus" and "Because" being the others.)

I want both. And Help!. If those 3 were the next albums announced, I don't know if I'd ever be able to clean the streaks off of my monitor. I'd like them in this order: Revolver, Help!, Magical Mystery.
Revolver - I'm Only Sleeping, She Said She Said, Doctor Robert, Tomorrow Never Knows, Here There Everywhere
Magical Mystery Tour - Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane, Baby You're a Rich Man
Help! - You're Gonna Lose That Girl, Act Naturally, Help!, I've Just Seen a Face, Yesterday
The problem is there's too much good stuff and it's going to take way too long to get it all!

I'm with you on that. I'm still confused why the obvious guitar work in Because wasn't charted instead of the synthesizer. I really wanted to hear the guitar playing that riff over the synthesizer, experiencing the song in a new way.
Revolver - I'm Only Sleeping, She Said She Said, Doctor Robert, Here There Everywhere
Those would probably be my picks as well, the reason being the guitar parts.

Remember, Harmonix do not mix the game tracks. George Martin does so I'm betting they want to replicate the original sound as much as possible. There may be a guitar in some songs, but if its not prominent enough in the mix, it will be substituted for the forefront instrument. Just my guess!

Magical Mystery Tour- Harmonix developer stated that they the strings to guitar in Strawberry Fields Forever.
I think that was being used as a hypothetical example. He said, when discussing alternate instrument charting, that in SFF, "you might end up playing the string parts a little bit on the guitar." "Might" indicating that it's not a done deal as far as that song coming to the game, and it may actually just be a hypothetical example from a Beatles song he's personally familiar with. That's not to say that the song won't ever be coming, but I don't think that was exactly a confirmation of it.
An article stated that Magical Mystery Tour is coming with All You Need Is Love.
That statement was not accurate, and the article has since been updated to correct their information.

When is there guitar in I Am The Walrus?

Mystery tour could hit first when all you need is love hits on ps3 or wii near dec 9. The logic for it not being in the album announcement is the fact that it isn't an album.

I think Revolver would be great. I read somewhere that someone else owns the rights to Penny Lane so I don't know if it will ever see a Beatles:rb release. Which pretty much scratches a Magical Mystery Tour Album. Although I would love to play Strawberry Fields Forever and a couple others

I would prefer Revolver, and it would be more likely, yet I'd be happy with both. Personally, after Rubber Soul I would prefer an earlier album. Please Please Me would be great.
Revolver seems to have a lot more songs that'd sell well, the only problem is I can't imagine Tomorrow Never Knows being at one of the live venues. A dreamscape for this particular song would be much more optimal.
That has nothing to do with them releasing the album? You say that as if the album can't have any dreamscapes, yet Rubber Soul has one confirmed dreamscape, and Yellow Submarine from Revolver has a dreamscape. Besides, I'm sure almost all of the songs from Revolver that are left will be dreamscapes. The only live song I could think of would be She Said She Said, even though I would think that would fit better as a dreamscape, like And Your Bird Can Sing.

It wouldnt surprise me to see them drift away from whole albums...from what Ive read (and I could be mistaken) but the album DLC isnt flying off the shelves, with mostly the hardcore fans/collectors buying the entire albums.
Of course, the people who come here will by everything, since we fit into the bracket I mentioned above. But the common player who just has RB:B floating around there house...wont care about Revolver or MMT. They will care about Eleanor Rigby and Strawberry Fields Forever.
I think they set up the first 3 months with whole albums to test the waters. I say expect to see some track packs...maybe 2 or 3 packs with 3 songs each. See if they get more downloads that way for a few months...
Of course this is all hypothetical, and I could give a s**t what they put out, as long as it keeps coming and all the major songs get put out.

I feel that the presence of All You Need is Love already existing will push MMT to being released first.
Just to shift the focus a little, how hasn't anyone mentioned The White Album as desired dlc?!?! It'll probably cost $40 to buy the dlc, but who cares. That album is almost entirely guitar, and kicks ass. My fav on that album is Dear Prudence however, so I've been able to contain myself so far. All I'm saying is, I wanna play/sing Rocky Racoon.

I LOVE revolver, it's my all time favorite album, and Got To Get You Into My Life is EMBEDDED into my brain, I can't stop hearing it. But, I think MMT is more likely, and more enjoyed by other people. BUT NOT SAYING IT'S A BETTER ALBUM, because I'll say Revolver is the best album ever made to my grave ;)
But the most likely is probably the White Album, there is more diversity and what is a Beatles game without Rocky Raccoon, Blackbird, and Good Night? Okay, maybe not the last one, but it's RINGO, COME ON!

I think Revolver will come first, but theres a strange pattern
1969: Abbey Road

So if that's the case, I would not be surprised if With the Beatles came out too.

1969: Abbey Road
1967: Sgt.Pepper

1963?
I think that's just a coincidence. I doubt that it hints at the next album.
Big-A2
12-21-2009, 12:05 AM
You could also say the pattern is that it's stating at Abbey Road, and going backwards to every second proper UK album.
Abbey Road
The Beatles
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Revolver
Rubber Soul
So, Beatles For Sale is the next DLC album. Woo... :|
I'm not predicting anything; I'm just saying that a pattern would be stupid.
The most likely thing right now to be honest would be no-more DLC albums unless sales of the first 3 instalments turn out profitable.

I'm gonna go with a High selling songs hmx created complication (with aynil on the side of non xbox).
They have to put out the a high selling songs pack (May include some album singles that we don't have yet.) before the people who bought it for xmas lose interest. Then Revolver, and mystery tour.
