Drum microphone

Hello, my Xbox 360 headset has -never- worked for my drums. I've plugged it in, with the little black extension and without, and it simply does not respond. Is there any kind of fix for this without sending the whole thing back? The headset works on the 360 controller, and on the guitar, just not on the drums. Occasionally it makes an annoying static noise when it's plugged in. Other times, it doesn't do anything. Help?

I have the same problem with my headset but I can't even get my heasdet to work on the guitar. How did you get yours to work on the guitar, and did you use the adapter that came with Rock Band. If you can help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

The wireless mic is the best way to go
