Well, there's gonna be 40 songs in the final count, and there's 16 more, so I get to nominate 24 more, right?
Well, there they go:
1. AC/DC - Jailbreak
2. Accept - Fast as a Shark
3. Alice Cooper - I'm Eighteen
4. Alice in Chains - Man in the Box
5. Beatles - Twist and Shout ('coz it reminds me of Ferris Bueller)
6. Dire Straits - Money for Nothing
7. Faith No More - Falling to Pieces
8. Guns n' Roses - Paradise City
9. Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower
10. Judas Priest - Painkiller (it fits better here than in Guitar Hero)
11. KISS - Black Diamond
12. Led Zeppelin - Rock and Roll
13. Megadeth - Skin O' My Teeth
14. Mötley Crüe - Looks That Kill
15. Motörhead - Overkill
16. Queen - Crazy Little Thing Called Love
17. R.E.M. - It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
18. Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the Devil
19. Sex Pistols - God Save the Queen
20. Skid Row - Slave to the Grind
21. Steppenwolf - Born to Be Wild
22. The Cult - Love Removal Machine
24. Van Halen - Hot For Teacher
25. Whitesnake - Love Ain't No Stranger
Now, to the downloadable albums, I think there should be:
-> Led Zeppelin III
-> Machine Head by Deep Purple
-> Ziggy Stardust by David Bowie
-> The first Van Halen album
-> Blizzard of Ozz by Ozzy Osbourne
-> Powerslave by Iron Maiden
-> London Calling by The Clash
-> Sgt. Pepper's by you-know-who
-> Destroyer by KISS
-> A Night at the Opera by Queen
-> Screaming for Vengeance by Judas Priest
-> Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd
-> Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
-> Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
I think that does it for now.

How about Back in Black for an album?
Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me!
I actually almost included the song, but I thought Jailbreak rocked a lot more (Back in Black has a kinda slow pace). But the album as a whole would be a very nice idea, 'coz there's Shoot to Thrill and You Shook Me All Night Long, songs I love a lot.

That's a super good list actually! I would not mind playing that at all. I liked the Bob Dylan too. I'd want Zeppelin II in there though.

Led Zeppelin III would be a pretty lame album overall for DLC. Houses of the Holy or Led Zeppelin II. Maybe Led Zeppelin I.
And Iron Maiden's album should be Piece of Min- oh, wait, Powerslave has Rime of the Ancient Mariner. That's all right then.
Bohemian Rhapsody is a horrible choice. It has one minute of guitar in a five minute song
Get I Want it All or Seven Seas of Rhye instead.

Hey, this is Rock Band, not the freaking Guitar Hero.
And I like LZ3. There's Celebration Day, Out on the Tiles and Tangerine in it.
Not to mention Immigrant Song of course.

DURRRRRR HAVING HALF OF THE BAND (Lead and Bass) ONLY PLAY ONE MINUTE OUT OF THE GAME IS GRATE IDEA.
Listen beyond the hits, sheep.
Coincidentally, Seven Seas of Rhye and I Want it All both have great vocals, drum, guitar, and bass, as opposed to Bohemian Rhapsody only being fun for the vocals.

I'd love to see It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine) By R.E.M., it'd be almost like a vocal freebird right? heh

Well, even the hits might have something to offer. Like, Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Another One Bites the Dust (heck, I love these two), or maybe I Want to Break Free (heh, that'd be a funny pick, IMO).
Oh by the way, I just thought of another album to be included in downloadable content: Jailbreak by Thin Lizzy. It rocks way more than everything U2 ever made ("Irishly" speaking).

Crazy Little Thing Called Love is EXCELLENT. Well-chosen.
