As you may have heard Pete "shredmeister" Moore resigned from his position at Microsoft today to go to EA.
It is in my honest opinion that he was forced to resign due to his incomprehensible, unfathomably craptacualr guitar performance at the E3 Rock Band Demo.

He's lucky that he got out of there with his life.

Yea that will go down in history.
Now I want to see him doing an onstage demo of Madden while he runs the wrong way down the football field!

I've developed an unsubstantiated theory that those weird, unexplained "now EA games will play faster and better on XBOX Live" comments at E3 were the first moments of his new job at EA - getting some good EA words out there while he had everyone watching.
But I've got no problem with that, I like MS and I'm one of the few who has always liked EA: they just need to get back to having commentary in Madden and fix that horrid NBA Live series. I don't blame EA for the NFL license (blame the NFL - hmmm DirecTV exclusive). But EA's aquired some great ones here lately: the Burnout series, and more recently Rock Band and Mercenaries.
Good luck to Peter at his new job. And enjoy all that money - if you don't know what I'm talking about, look up his EA deal.

Whats the point of having a vocalist sing if the vocals in the game are left on.. Why not leave the guitar in so it can be heard all the way through even when you aren't playing.
I assume that they can be turned off?

Yes, a fellow Dreamcast player. I still bust out mine to play Marvel vs Capcom 2 with friends... Space Channel 5, House of the Dead 2. It was a sad day when Sega bowed out and became a publisher - even sadder when they started publishing bad games.

I know he has denied this, but losing a billion dollars in your division has to play a part. The hardware fiasco and warranty extension has been a continued black eye for the brand.
And now he's going to be VP of EA Sports. Good luck moving into the most un-original, un-creative brand in all of gaming. They poop out the same game lineup every year with an updated roster.

I really don't see the issues with EA's sports series. What the heck do you expect from a sports game? Rocket shoes for kobe and laser eyes for goalies? Its sports.. what more can they do other than update rosters, redesign the controls, and add crappy minigames? Sheesh.. Guitar hero's just pooping out the same gameplay with different songs and now tiny 'battle' changes, when you think about it, but i dont hear any complaints.
