I know there's probably a few threads like this already, but thank you so much for opening my eyes to The Beatles. I liked them before there was any word on the game or anything, but I didn't like them like I did now. They were just kind of a distant old band that I thought I could like some of their songs but never thought I'd actually get thoroughly into them.
Well, simply the trailer for The Beatles: Rock Band blew me away and sparked my interest, and I'm sure I can't be the only one. I liked them more and more up until the game, downloading albums (I'll fix that mistake). When the game came out, I just got crazy. Now, I only really listen to them, and I'm re-buying the albums, and I refuse to listen to the albums I previously downloaded until I buy the new ones.
I'm extremely glad to say I'm in 10th grade and a Beatles freak. They are now definitely my favorite band, and the amount of great songs they put out is overwhelming. So many different styles and such in such a short amount of time, and can appeal to everyone. No one will ever achieve this again. I'm looking forward to spreading The Word and eventually being an adult and have my kids grow up on it. Their legacy will never be dated.

It's much, much, much more than that.

Really glad this is happening. I remember when The Beatles Rock Band was merely rumored, I was simply ecstatic; one of the reasons was because I knew it would help bring the "newer generation" The Beatles, not as an image or legacy, but a really great band.

Yeah, that's exactly as I thought beforehand. It was more just like a distant past for old people.
Frankly, when the "project" was announced, I wasn't even interested. :( Now, I can barely get myself to play RB2.

I think The Replacements said it well. On naming their album titled "Let it Be": "It was our way of saying that nothing is sacred, that the Beatles were just a fine rock & roll band. We were seriously gonna call the next record Let It Bleed."
I think so many people just see The Beatles as a cultural icon, or a history figure that you don't know anything about, you are just aware of. When you get down to it, they were just a couple of talented guys making music, and that's why I love them so much.

I get that ALOT from adults in my neigborhood.
Technically, I got into the Beatles the day I was born, when my mom sang me Here Comes the Sun in the hospital.
But I really didn't get into the beatles until October of last year when the site was lauched wiht only 9.9.09 on it.

For me, the game rekindled my interest in the band. I grew up with them, watched them break up, and continued to listen to them off and on all my life. Though certain songs ("And Your Bird Can Sing," "Nowhere Man") will always be among my favorite music, I had reached a point where I'd listened to The Beatles so much and so thoroughly that I thought I might have had my fill of them.
The idea of A Beatles game sounded like it could be fun, but I was skeptical until I saw the first trailer and got a hint of the talent involved in creating the game.
Now, I just can't stop playing the thing. :) I'm not much of a musician, so this is the first time I've ever gotten a chance to really interact with the songs, have fun with them, and realize just how great the bass lines are. It's the first time I've sung into a microphone. Ever. The Dreamscapes and performance venues bring new life to the material, and the between-songs chatter is the icing on the cake.
So, I'm really grateful to Harmonix, too. Not just for putting so much care into the game, but for bringing the music to life for multiple generations--As a discovery for younger players and a new perspective for older ones.

I grew up with the Beatles and knew every single one of their songs by heart, but as I grew older I stopped listening to them cause I'd listened to them so much when I was little. TB:RB has rekindled my interest in the Beatles and now I can't stop listening to them again

Well, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones were pretty close.
"I Wanna Be Your Man" is a song they both performed. It's pretty fun how different both versions are.
Back on topic...
At first I thought that a video game about The Beatles was a joke, but when I saw the official site, it got me so excited!
I got the game for my birthday and it's seriously the best present I've ever gotten in my life.
Even my mother plays the game with me! She's 56 and has never played a game before this.
I honestly believe TB:RB filled up the generation gap between us.
Thank you so much, Harmonix. And everyone else involved, of course.
I gotta say, Dhani takes after his father on the brilliant ideas side as well.

Pretty much. I figured, "Well, as long as I'm checking out the Beatles, I should give the Stones a listen too." And what do ya know? Turns out they're both awesome.
