DLC Appearance problem

I have about 15 DLC songs and they are all downloaded to one hard drive. Recently I bought an Xbox 360 Elite for my other place and when moving the hard drive with the DLC on it to the Elite, all of my DLC appears fine. But after downloading Buddy Holly onto my hard drive on the Elite, and then moving it to my Xbox at home, it wont show up. Going back to the Elite, it shows up fine, so the download definitely completed. I think the problem might have to do with xbox live. The Elite is hooked up to Live and the DLC from the other xbox shows up, but the xbox not hooked up to live wont show the dlc from the elite. Is there any way to fix this without having to rebuy the song on the original xbox?

This is 100% an XBOX DLC copy protection problem and it FREAKING SUCKS. :eek: The songs will only show up with the drive plugged into the XBOX on which they were originally downloaded UNLESS you're logged into LIVE. Then it doesn't matter. It's an absolutely ridiculous copy protection scheme (DLC tied to particular console) especially since XB360s blow up with RRoDs quite frequently (I'm waiting for my 4th XB360 to be delivered by Microsoft...).

I have a PS3 anybody knows what will happen if my hard drive dies and I need to get a new hard drive. Will I be able to download all my DLC again for the PSN store or will all of it be lost?

The Playstation Store hides anything that you've already purchased so that you can't accidentally buy it again. If you go to account management you can also see a list of everything you've purchased and each item has a link to redownload.

The Rock Band games saves, on the other hand, are copy protected on both consoles for reasons unknown, so if your hard drive/console dies you'll lose all of your characters and bands since there's no way to back them up.

Try deleting it and downloading it again. That's what I had to do all the times my 360 broke,it only worked the last 2 times though. You're fine on PS3,can DL it to 5 consoles.
