After logging in, the answer I received wasn't very helpful. It said that the free game was only available to a small group of people who experienced unexpectedly long delays, blah blah blah, and that those people received special emails. Apparently he didn't read the question I sent, particularly the part where I mentioned the emails I'd received, the dates, their content, etc. The end of the response listed a phone number to call for live support, if I needed more help resolving my question.
So I dialed a few buttons, the phone rang, and I liked how the recording started off with "Welcome to EA Support. If you're calling about Rock Band, press 1. If you're calling about anything else, press 2." or something like that.
Anyhow, after being on hold for all of 10 seconds, the woman I spoke to could do nothing, but said she'd have someone call me back in a day or so. Unfortunately I'm leaving tomorrow for a trip, and probably won't have access to the internet for most of it, and who knows what time of day they'll call my cell phone, and whether or not I'll hear it ring, so I'm kind of worried I'm going to miss out on this free game I was promised.
Anyone else in the same or a similar boat?
