Issues with mic (not lag related)

Sometimes my pitch cursor starts jittering really fast and it messes me up, even more so now that i'm on Hard. I know it's not my voice because it jitters all the time once it starts happening in a song and it moves too fast for it to be my voice. To get it to stop i have to exit out of the list of songs and play again and then it steadies out again. Has anyone had this issue before? Do i have a defective mic or is it the game? It's happening more and more often now and it's really pissing me off.

I am having the same problems too!! I am playing on a PS3 system. Sometimes it works fine then sometimes it starts jittering around during the middle of the song and sometimes it completely disappears. While it is acting up I get "messy" scores and then fail the song. This is happening on songs that I normally do great on I am now failing because of the irratic cursor problem. Please help!!!
