24... but I still feel old.
I was driving to the mall on Thursday to pick up the new Sony eBook Reader. I had the windows down and I was smoking a cigarette. I was listening to the radio and the Beastie Boys came on. I turned it up and was rap/rocking out. The mini-van besides me rolls down the windows and a 14-16 y/o kid stick his head out and says, "Hey, is that the Beastie Boys?" I felt so hip, didn't know the kids still listened, I replied with an enthusiastic "Yep!" The next thing I know his mom turns to him and says "I told you so!" Ugh, I felt old right there. The kid was clueless, it was the mom who knew the Beasties.

Yea, at 15 I had a real narrow view of what I liked.
Now, I listen to many styles of music and enjoy them all. Some more than others.
Plus, playing different styles of music can be fun. I like the Blues but don't listen too often but I'll play them on bass or guitar anytime. Lots of fun.

My taste isn't really that narrow, it's just 3-5 genres that really piss me off. Most music I either tolerate, respect but not really listen to, or enjoy.
Unfortunately, the stuff I hate is incredibly popular. Nu Metal, Emo and bad rock in general, Bad modern pop rap and R&B, and most pop starting from the 90s on.

I'm about 27. My son likes to play, and he's almost 4. Shockingly, he likes the drums and singing. He actually passed "Gimme Shelter" on easy singing.
I got my 54-year-old father to play the drums. He claimed he used to drum, but when he failed miserably, he claimed it's because he hates video games. My son was sitting with him while my dad was playing. My son was yelling out, "Papa! You forgot to hit the RED ONE!"
My 29 and 30-year-old brothers play as well. I tried to convince them we need to play regularly, and become the next Hanson. They didn't think it as funny as I did.

Well, I am one of those Anal people… have to be because I am an analyst for a hospital system in East Tennessee. So, when I see data I have to turn it into some type of information… It’s a problem, I know.
Here is a summary of the ages for the people who posted. If the poster mentioned someone other than themselves, those ages were not included. Seems our youngest poster was 10 and oldest 53.
Age Group 01-10 = 1
Age Group 11-13 = 1
Age Group 14-18 = 25 (The high-schoolers)
Age Group 19-23 = 16 (College Students)
Age Group 24-30 = 24
Age Group 31-40 = 24
Age Group 41-50 = 9
Age Group > 50 = 1
Looks like the high-school ages still play more than us older folk, since there are more players in those 5 years than in any other category. I guess College students can’t afford to waste the time gaming with all the studying and drinking they do, but once people get jobs it looks like they can afford to buy the game for themselves and have the time to play.

I guess College students can’t afford to waste the time gaming with all the studying and drinking they do, but once people get jobs it looks like they can afford to buy the game for themselves and have the time to play.well u have to be atleast 14 to go on here right so that means those kids lied. but ya...the people who go on will typically be older

Actually, you'd be in the plurality. The majority would be greater than 50%; the plurality is the most but with less than 50%.

I believe that would be "22 and 3/4"
Or, once you are past the age of 18, you just start saying whatever age you are, and stop talking about what you're going to be in a few months. LOL :)
