yes I know, but TB:RB isn't up against MW2. it's up against Guitar Hero 5 and DJ Hero. Lego Rock Band, I'd be ok if it won, because not everybody likes the Beatles, and it does contain a lot of popular music. Guitar Hero 5 doesn't seem much different from GHWT. DJ Hero I could see winning, though.

However, TB:RB has THE BEATLES. also popular, but there is also a legion of Beatle-haters.

IDK. it seems up for grabs. I'm rooting for The Beatles, obviously.

I'm not even that much of a batman fan, but I absolutely loved it! I voted for it for some awards.

the only games i've played more than once in any of those categories are TB:RB, street fighter 4 (which sucked), and L4D2.

Uncharted 2 will end up GOTY with most gaming journalists, but MW2 will win every fan vote this year.

The only difficult section i found in the whole thing (that wasnt biased) was Best Voice.

Jack Black, The Best of Uncharted 2, and The Best of Arkham Asylum.

That was the only tough one

I was actually surprised Uncharted 2 wasn't up for best cast. I love all of the people in that game. They've all got voice-acting skillz.

I voted Ghostbusters for best cast and The Joker for best voice. It was either the joker or the girl from Uncharted 2 (I forgot her name :o).

Chloe? she's great (so far, I haven't finished the game yet), but I voted for Nolan North/Nathan Drake. He's awesome.

The VGA's are just a large advertisement for new games.

...But they announced Pearl Jam's Ten last year. Best announcement ever.

Since i am a metal head i voted for Brutal Legend for best soundtrack

even though it probably won't win due to 14 year old boys voting for DJ Hero

and even though The Beatles aren't my cup of tea I wouldn't mind if Brütal Legend lost to RB: The Beatles

That's games for you. Most are released before Christmas and we tend to forget the ones released back in January. Next year looks like it will change things.

A lot of people found that game to just be meh. I thought it was awesome, with all the collectibles, weapons and cheats to unlock. Maybe people just sucked at the less forgiving item menu. :D

So RE5 gets passed on, while L4D2 - what should in all regards be L4D1.3 - is up for Game of the Year.

I think they should change that for next year. Games will usually release multiple packs, so it would make sense to just have "best overall DLC" and list games. That way it wouldn't be Fallout 3's packs vs GTA IV's packs, it would be Fallout 3, GTA IV, Rock Band, Burnout Paradise (Big Surf Island and the entire rest of their DLC support come to mind), and LittleBigPlanet.

At least L4D2 has controls that don't suck. L4D2 is as much L4D1.5 as RB2 is RB1.5. Somethings are broken more, others much better.
