View Full Version : Anyone know why it doesn't list all band members???

When we view our band profile on the leaderboards, under band members it only lists 1 member (band leader). Anyone know how to get it to list ALL THE MEMBERS? We've got 4 members in our band (usually only 2 at a time play) and it never lists anybody except for the band leader. And yes all band members have been added to roster. Any ideas?

This is the only issue I was going to ask you about. But if you're 100% positive that all your members are listed under Band Roster, then I don't know what else to suggest.
That seems pretty odd :\ I know I've checked my band before and showed the members. Sorry I can't help.

I'm pretty sure that the band mates need to at least be Xbox Live members, either Silver or Gold.

Hmmm...I was really hoping you'd be able to see all the characters in the band regardless if they have an XBox Live account or whatever. I don't have Rock Band and I probably won't for at least 6 more months, so I go over to my friend's house to play Rock Band. I go to our band's dealie here on the website and it only listed him, even though we're registered. Oh well, I guess. :(

What is you band members' names. Because if they ain't considered "Classy" by the game, then they won't show up on the profile, leaderboard, or anything. I had that issue with my wife's singer, Amethysst. We changed the "e" to a "3" and it shows up now. I guess they don't allow drug names as part of the names.

I did some experimenting with this and found out one cause (other than "classy name syndrome").
If all instruments are just guests with no signed in profiles, then their characters are created under YOUR main profile, and thus show up on your part of the website. Everything works.
But if you sign each instrument into a different profile on your xbox, then they technically "belong" to someone else and don't show up on the website. Even if they're silver/gold they won't show, they'll only show on that person's RockBand.com account.
So, the best thing to do when making a band is sign everybody out, and let them be anonymous guests. That way all your rocking is focused on one profile and linked up.
Clumsy UI issues like these abound in Rock Band, unfortunately... someone from HMX needs to go get tips from Valve about cyclical user testing :) They tested the songs plenty and the core gameplay rocks but things like no instrument switching, profile confusion, voicechat adapters, solo rank discons, etc. are all things that could've had a finger pointed at them early on in development by perpetual testing with new users and casual gamers.

Mine is 'Schultzy' and my friend's doesn't have anything vulgar in it, intentional or otherwise.

Thanks guys, i bet that's it. We all play at my house and everyone signs in under my name as a guest basically (i.e. Rosewood79II, Rosewood79III, Rosewood79IV). Each of those names is linked to a character and instrument so that's why we do it that way. Wouldn't be the "classy" syndrome as we are Rosewood, Mikey Crutches, Axl, and Derek Smalls. Classy AND pure rock.
Is it still possible to link those characters to the anonymous guests?

There are two different pages that list characters on the community site, the "Profile" page and the "Band" page. It's rather obvious that the profile only lists characters associated with that profile, but does the band page show members from other profiles? Mine does.

Compare. My profile account page (Frederf) lists 4 characters that I have made on my account. My band page shows a character that is mine and one that is my brother's (XBL! Silver).
There are other members of that band that aren't showing up and they are in a third non-Live! profile. I don't know if they're not showing up because the profile with that character isn't Gold/Silver or because the site is slow on getting that info.
