Tournament Format:
1. The game is Guitar Hero II and will be played on a PS2
system.
2. The contest will be a bracketed, double elimination
tournament.
3. Top 3 winners from our two previous tournaments will enjoy
top seeding in the bracket. All other
competitors will randomly draw a number at check-in (2:00-2:30
pm). These numbers will be used to
seed the remaining tournament bracket in a random manner.
4. All players must be in the Tournament Area and ready to
play. Forfeits will be issued to any
competitor who is not "on deck" when called.
5. Players will play songs that the event staff has randomly
drawn from the PS2 Guitar Hero II song
list including the bonus tracks.
6. First round will be played on medium (or hard setting
provided both parties agree). Second round
play will be on hard (or expert setting provided both parties
agree). All remaining rounds including
the final will be be played on expert setting.
7. Two finalists will compete for the best two out of three
songs in expert mode. One song will be
selected by each player and the third will be randomly
selected by the event staff if needed.
8. In the event of a points tie, the longest note streak
followed by best percentage will determine
the winner.
9. Decisions and findings of the event staff are final.
