This is ultimately based on the White Album thread, and I also made a similar thread based on Revolver, here (http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=173829&highlight=revolver+released).
Suggestions,commentary, and opinions are welcome.
Magical Mystery Tour
Probably some bright colored psychedelic effects, flowers and all that stuff. Would be awesome if they could get a bus, but that seems pretty unlikely. Just overall very happy and hippyish.
Horns will be charted to guitar, given there's no guitar. Maybe the piano at the end too.
Guitar- 4
Drums- 4
Vocals- 3
Bass- 4
The Fool on the Hill
This would mostly focus on Paul and his piano. I could picture it on a hill on a cold windy day, but without snow. The grass will not be a full color, yet it won't be cold enough for snow.
Flute/Recorder whatever will be charted to guitar, unless there's an actual guitar playing.
Guitar- 2
Drums- 1
Vocals- 3
Bass- 0
Flying
I picture The Beatles kind of chilling in the studio for this one, sitting down like in Come Together. See some smoke in the ashtray and stuff. Some simple color effects in the background and stuff, nothing too complicated for this song, though.
The only alt-charting for vocals ever! Sort of. Chart the opera singers to vocals.
Guitar- 3
Drums- 2
Vocals- 1
Bass- 1
Blue Jay Way
Holy crap, this will be one hell of a dreamscape, or more like a nightmare. They'll be in a very dark forest surrounded by a thick layer of fog. Might see some strange effects to go along with the creepy voices in the background. Throw in some close ups of George staring right at you as he sings.
The organ will be charted to guitar, and so will the cello when it is there.
Guitar- 0
Drums- 4
Vocals- 2
Bass- 4
Your Mother Should Know
This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euMCu5IRRHM) would be ideal, but let's think more realistically. I could picture it taking place on the stage where Getting Better is, we haven't seen it at all. If not, I could also see it taking place on the stage with the red curtain, I like that place a lot. "Your Mother Should Know" should appear in the background, that'd be cool. I'd also like to see a similar background as the chorus of Hello Goodbye during the instrumental part after each verse. Add in a little bit of blur during that part also, and we're golden. Sgt. Pepper outfits I think would work well.
Piano will be charted to guitar, there's nothing else that you could really chart guitar to.
Guitar- 2
Drums- 4
Vocals- 4
Bass- 3
Strawberry Fields Forever
Alright, the big guy on this album. I bet they're working on something really good for this, but this is what I'm guessing. I could see it starting out on a field, during day time. However, as the song gets more serious, it will start to turn darker. I don't know, that's all I got so far. I'm not creative at all.
Strings will be on guitar when there isn't any apparent. Same with bass, I'm sure there's different kinds of strings that could fit bass?
Guitar- 5
Drums- 5
Vocals- 3
Bass- 4
Penny Lane
Probably my favorite song on the album, hopefully it comes. It will start in the studio, same outfits as Hello Goodbye. Then I can picture The Beatles walking down a brick road, everybody's happy and everything's great. I don't even think instruments are necessary for this one, unless they're in the studio. Seeing them walking is awesome enough.
Piano and trumpet will be charted to guitar.
Guitar- 4
Drums- 2
Vocals- 1
Bass- 3
Baby, You're a Rich Man
For some reason, I picture the color purple being apparent. I picture something similar to All You Need Is Love. I hope HMX is more creative than me in making a dreamscape for this. :(
That crazy instrument thing will be on guitar, and guitar will be charted too.
Guitar- 6
Drums- 5
Vocals- 6
Bass- 4

There better at least be that piano looking thing in it.

Magical Mystery Tour
I only imagine this song played in the roof of a bus. I don't know why. Or in a highway. With some trippy filters, but not too much of them.
Instruments in order of difficulty:
Drums
Bass
Vocals/Harmonies
Guitar (piano charted to guitar)
The Fool on the Hill
A natural envoirment, Harrison Hill, Lennon Land. Paul on piano, Harrison on bass, Lennon on guitar (yes, there's guitar parts in this song, but they're almost nothing...), and Ringo on drums, obvious. With I am the Walrus effect of half-persons in "oooooh" moments, combined with Paul alone.
Guitar
Vocals
Bass
Drums
Flying
Basic color filters, going through all the colours. Maybe with some blur effects. Basic dreamscape.
Bass
Guitar (the strange solo charted to guitar)
Drums
Vocals
Blue Jay Way
George sitting in his hill, sitar style, with a dense fog. It's important to put the brightness of everything except George to 0, seeing just silouettes of the dreamscape in the fog.
Drums
Bass
Vocals
Guitar (organ effects)
Your Mother Should Know
Oh Darling! or Getting Better place fit very well this song. But I suppose it's very important to see moviment on this dreamscape, 'cause everybody has seen the video of the movie. So I imagine them playing, and little secuences of them singing like in Sgt Pepper/with a little..., you know, with their hands on their back, and dressing a white smoking.
Bass
Guitar (piano and organ solo)
Drums
Vocals
Strawberry Fields Forever
It's difficult to imagine a dreamscape for this. The begining like lucy in the sky, with john playing the intro, then explodes to a chill-out background, not as trippy as Within you Without you, but remembering psychedellia. It goes to Dear Prudence dreamscapes, focusing on red flowers, and, of course, a night sky. Sitar moments got the Come Together blue drum pad effect, you know, this kind of distortion/blur, pseudo-water screen. The end can be perfectly a second A day in the life end style, but with distortion effects.
Drums
Guitar (guitar, sitar, and mellotron)
Vocals
Bass
Penny Lane
Maybe them playing in a street is the most evident thing everyone have in mind. But seeing them in the ambient of rooftop concert can be very cool. They used it in She's Leaving Home, so... why don't they do it in the road?... :). Fixing a Hole or or She's Leaving Home clothes are okay for this. Shots of them walking on the street are enough to this excellent song.
Bass
Guitar (piano and trumpet)
Vocals
Drums
Baby, You're a Rich Man
Pure psychedellia. Fast colours in the background. Letters a la Hey Bulldog floating in the studio. Something easy but colorful and funny to see.
I consider this to be a hard song.
Bass
Drums
Guitar (piano and organ "solos", and guitar)
Vocals

I would want them to do a combination of images from the promo videos (especially from "Penny Lane" and "Strawberry Fields Forever") as well as from the "Magical Mystery Tour" film.

Are you also going to make a thread for Let it Be and Yellow Submarine? And maybe Help! too for songs like Yesterday and You've Got to Hide Your Love Away. Why not do a thread for the singles too? :)
Magical Mystery Tour:
If the bus isn't in here, it would suck. That is all.
The Fool on the Hill
Harrison Hill seems like an obvious choice for this dreamscape. I think it comes down to whether or not they want this dreamscape to be exclusively for George songs or not.
Blue Jay Way
This one should be on Harrison Hill. Maybe have it be really foggy and windy. Almost like WMGGW but a lot darker.
Your Mother Should Know
This should be the stage from Getting Better. It would be awesome if they had the same clothes from the video but I doubt that.
Strawberry fields Forever
This one should be in the field from Dear Prudence, though at night.
Penny Lane
The drreamscape from She's Leaving Home would work well. Just make it during the day and more happy feeling.

Is that sarcasm? :P
And at this point, the only albums I have are MMT, Revolver, Rubber Soul, and Please Please Me. I'll probably buy most of them eventually, so it's a possibility.

Yeah, this threads could possibly inspire Harmonix to do great dreamscapes or great camera angles in live performances! Keep them! I like them.

For Strawberry Fields, if it's not like the promo, I won't be AS happy

Will all of Let It Be be on the rooftop? Because Let It Be, The Long and Winding Road, and Across The Universe don't really fit. Though one could say none of the Let It Be DLC would fit on the rooftop except One After 909.
Pectoralz
11-29-2009, 04:33 PM
Here's my Let It Be idea:
Two of Us- Dreamscape
Across the Universe- Dreamscape
Dig It- Rooftop Concert (?)
Let It Be - Dreamscape
Maggie Mae- Rooftop Concert (?)
One After 909- Rooftop Concert (duh)
The Long and Winding Road- Dreamscape
For You Blue- Dreamscape or Rooftop Concert (probably dreamscape)
anyone agree?

Magical Mystery Tour:
I don't know why this song remember me from the color white. Just put the bus and I will be happy,
The Fool on the Hill
It could be on Harrison Hill, maybe with the seasons changing, it would be pretty cool.
Your Mother Should Know
I think they will be wearing the white tuxedos, using the When I'm 64 scenario.
Strawberry fields Forever
This one should be in the dreancape of Mean Mr Mustard, though at night, and, if possible, with more flowers and less mountains.
Penny Lane
I'm thinking in the Fixing a Hole dreamscape, with normal studio, but becoming colorful in "Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes..."

not much real guitar on magical mystery tour it seems. definitely one of their more poppy albums, i personally prefer the more rock'n ones like abbey road and the white album, but they're all good. also really nice dreamscape ideas, and i like how you had a good of idea of the tiers of the instruments.

Magical Mystery Tour:
Bus, please. I beg of you, HMX.
The Fool On The Hill:
Harrison Hill. There's a reason it's called The Fool On The HILL!!
Flying:
Changing colors, sorta like the movie scene. Vocals=Dah, dah, dah
Blue Jay Way:
Actually took place in LA, spotlight on George with a Hammond in blue twilight, and, of course, fog.
Your Mother Should Know:
McCartney Music Hall (Getting Better). White suits from movie.
White Album's Martha and Honey Pie should go there too. Lyrics on walls.
Strawberry Fields Forever:
Lennon Land (Good Morning, Good Morning). Just replace some flowers with Strawberries. Wardrobe from music video.
Penny Lane:
Yellows and oranges, guitar gets trumpet solo maybe.
Baby You're A Rich Man:
Strong colors. Lyrics on walls.

I want the rhinophant. I don't care how, or where, or on which song. I just want the rhinophant.
For "Flying," I say put them in that balloon/gondola that was used in the Sgt. Pepper stage; as they float about during the day, they fly by the rhinophant.
Also, can't the animators for the game remake the "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Penny Lane" videos? I mean, certain elements would be hard for them to remake, but for the most part, it'd be scene-for-scene.
Heh...for "Baby, You're A Rich Man," I had a wacky idea -- everytime the line about the beautiful people showed up, cut to Ringo, and he'll do some debonair type of smile to the camera, and really ham it up.

Magical Mystery Tour- Could re-use some of the Hello Goodbye dreamscape. Throw in some whooshing cloud visuals like in The End and YNGMYM(I see this effect being used a lot in this album...). Maybe Various costume changes starting toward the end. Show them in Sgt. Pepper uniforms, Then the Walrus costumes and just some of their "studio clothes".
Fool on Hill- Harrison Hill focus om Paul. Moving on.
Flying- I rather like using the Sgt. Pepper flying Gazebo thing for this. Maybe too literal? Only it really should be flying at night against a starry BG. The end could fade out over the zooming clouds again.
Blue Jay Way- Terrifying. Probably just solo George in a very dark and blue studio. Lagging effects. Rippling imagery to the beat(a la WYWY) and elements of Helter Skelter splatter effect mostly for that weird part where the cello throws in an extra beat.
Your Mother Should Know- The Getting Better dreamscape works well here.
Strawberry Fields- Good Morningx2 with much flashing back to just the studio. Many different coloured filters but not rapidly changing...
Penny Lane- Lovely Rita meets She's Leaving Home. Bam.
Baby You're a Rich Man- Lucy in the Sky or Because effects for the verses and one of the "stage-scapes" for the Chorus. Throw some zoomy clouds in there for good measure...

It wouldn't be so hard to do the suits. After all, they are only going to be used in MMT, unless they use it with The White Album. Then they would have to put the clothes in both packs, making it a bigger download.

Well, they DID incorporate elements from the promo films of "Hello Goodbye" and "Revolution" into their respective dreamscapes, so I imagine they could do the same for those 2 songs...as well as the performance of "Your Mother Should Know" in MMT.

This game NEEDS Magical Mystery Tour. I'm begging you Harmonix!
1) Magical Mystery Tour - Mostly shots of the studio interweaved with the Lucy star effect. Nothing outrageous or new here.
2) The Fool On the Hill - It opens in the studio, focusing on Paul with the piano. After he sings "and the eyes in his head see the world going round" it fades to the Harrison Hill. During the flute solo it's just the band walking through the meadow.
3) Flying - Lots of trippy color effects, like in the film. Something similar to the Fixing a Hole dreamscape would fit nicely.
4) Blue Jay Way - The Harrison vortex (we need to think of a snappier name for that), but with the whole band playing.
5) You Mother Should Know - The suits from the brilliant scene from the film would be ideal, but if not then the Fixing a Hole clothes would be best. It's the same music hall place as When I'm Sixty Four, among others. Very little of the studio. During the little piano section towards the end the Beatles enjoy a little Hello Goodbye dancing, then comes the "Da da da da" bit when band is walking along, close together.
6) Strawberry Fields Forever - Fixing a Hole clothes (this is a must) in the Good Morning field. Lots of walking during the mainly vocal sections. The sky is darker than Good Morning and lacks the trippy lighting effects.
7) Penny Lane - She's Leaving Home in the daytime. Very up beat and happy. The words "Penny Lane" appear in the sky occaisonally.
8) Baby You're a Rich Man - Similar to All You Need is Love. The title flys across the screen in the same fashion as All You Need is Love too.

Just one little nitpick :p I don't know what version of MMT (the track, not the album) you have been listening to, but there is certainly guitar in the version I'm listening to right now. But It's not very prominent, so it might be a better idea to chart the horns.
