360 Guitar stuck downstrum

When navigating songs in the menu or anything else the strum bar gets stuck in the down position (if you play righty, I dont thing if effect my gameplay) the bar itself is not physically stuck so i assume its the electrical connection. I am a DIYer not afraid to open this guy up as the warranty has expired any suggestions as to how to fix this?

On a separate note my other guitar (EA Sunbust one) one of the frets doesn't always register any tips for fixing that?

You are going to have to start by opening up the guitar and seeing what is wrong and what type of switch you are dealing with. If Ihad to guess I will say its a cracked reed switch. But thats just a WAG.

Often a dying battery can cause less sensitive frets. Otherwise I would check for dirty contacts.

How do i check the fret contact? by pulling off the fret button or is there something else I have to do?
